Vydehi Hospital (VIMS&RC) at Whitefield is a 1,600-bed multi-speciality NABH-accredited teaching hospital with 24x7 emergency, critical care, blood bank and ambulance services, equipped with a da Vinci X surgical robot and the Vydehi Cancer Centre, plus super-speciality departments (cardiology, CTVS, neurology, neurosurgery, nephrology, gastroenterology, oncology, plastic surgery, urology and endocrinology). The college also runs a Rural Health Training Centre at Kannamangala and an Urban Health Training Centre at Lakeside Hospital and follows the NMC Family Adoption Programme. Per the hospital's NMC clinical-material return, about 996 of its 1,180 clinical teaching beds are occupied (around 84% bed occupancy), with roughly 3,886 outpatients and 274 admissions a day along with over 340 surgeries daily (about 108 major and 234 minor) — among the highest clinical-exposure caseloads of any Bangalore medical college.
