BGS Medical College and Hospital NEET-UG cutoffs

Both official KEA cut-off sets are shown for BGS Medical College and Hospital (KEA code M095), from CET-2024 Round 2 — the college's very first admission year, when it had 150 seats. The government/state-quota General Merit seat closed at NEET rank 68,174 (sub-quota closings that round: GM-Kannada 1,03,661 · GM-Rural 85,338 · 3B-Rural 87,986 · 2A-Rural 90,931 · SC-Rural 2,36,846). In KEA's separate private-quota publication, the GMP-Hyderabad-Karnataka seat closed at 8,65,864 and the NRI seat shows NO closing rank — KEA made no NRI allotment, and the college's own admitted list confirms zero NRI admissions in 2024-25. A strong cross-check: the last management-tier student on the college's own merit-wise admitted list holds NEET rank 10,98,915 — exactly the Others/management closing in KEA's publication. The college site has no cut-off page; KEA's publications and the college's admitted list are the sources.

Research & rankings

BGS Medical College and Hospital (BGS MCH) at Nagarur, Bengaluru North, is one of Bengaluru's two newest private medical colleges — established in 2024 as a constituent college of Adichunchanagiri University (ACU), the Karnataka state private university (ACU Act 2012, Karnataka Act No. 18 of 2013) of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust, whose Math lineage spans some 1,500 years. MBBS is PERMITTED under a Letter of Permission dated 04 July 2024 (150 seats for AY 2024-25), not recognised — and the NMC's final seat matrix then raised the intake to 250 for AY 2025-26, among the fastest seat growths of any new private college. The MARB review committee's own LOP remarks recorded 'Total faculty is higher than in minimum requirement' — 226 faculty members on the government attendance system at assessment (40 professors and 29 associate professors, with 67 assistant professors, 42 tutors and 48 senior residents), with per-department faculty lists published on the college's news subsite. 39, first cycle 2024, as published by the university) — a university-level credential distinct from the new medical college. Note carefully: this is NOT BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences (Kengeri, RGUHS-affiliated, est 2013) nor the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences at BG Nagara — three different medical colleges of the same trust family. First-batch milestones (orientation and White Coat Ceremony, October-November 2024) mean no examination results or pass percentages exist yet, and none are claimed.

FAQ

BGS Medical College and Hospital FAQs

Is BGS Medical College and Hospital the same as BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences?
No — they are different colleges, and mixing them up is the single most common confusion about this college. BGS Medical College and Hospital (BGS MCH, NMC code KA/009/P/3) is at Nagarur in Bengaluru North, opened 2024, under Adichunchanagiri University, with 250 seats. BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences (BGSGIMS, KA/008/P/3) is at Kengeri, opened 2013, RGUHS-affiliated. A third sibling — Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) — operates at BG Nagara in Mandya district. All three belong to the same Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust family but have separate seats, fees and cutoffs.
Is BGS Medical College and Hospital recognised by the NMC?
MBBS is PERMITTED under a Letter of Permission (No. NMC/UG/2024-25/000109, dated 04 July 2024, 150 seats for AY 2024-25), not recognised — the normal status for a college whose first batch was admitted in 2024. The NMC's seat matrix then raised the intake to 250 for AY 2025-26. Degree recognition is sought after the first batch graduates (around 2029-30). University web pages calling the college 'NMC Recognized' overstate the position; the NMC record is what is cited here.
Which university is BGS Medical College and Hospital under?
Adichunchanagiri University (ACU) — a Karnataka state private university created by the ACU Act 2012 (Karnataka Act No. 18 of 2013) and established in January 2018, run by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. 39/4, first accreditation cycle, 2024) and UGC Section 2(f) recognition — university-level credentials; the medical college itself is new (2024). It is a state private university, not deemed: admission runs through KEA, not MCC.
How big is the hospital at BGS Medical College and Hospital?
The college's NMC disclosure lists 650 beds ward-wise (casualty 20, ICU 17, NICU 5, PICU 5, OBG ICU 5, labour room 6, plus pre- and post-operative beds). BGS MCH Hospital was KPME-registered in April 2023 — fifteen months before the college's Letter of Permission — and its published registers show about 2,06,534 outpatient visits across March-August 2024 (roughly 1,122 a day) and 17,483 admissions in the same months. The MARB committee that granted the LOP recorded 'Clinical material — Adequate'.
What are the hostel fees at BGS Medical College and Hospital?
Rs 1,31,000 per year, published on the college's UG admissions page alongside a Rs 45,000 miscellaneous college fee. The college does not specify what the hostel fee includes or the sharing options, so nothing more is claimed — ask the college directly at admission. Boys' and girls' hostels exist with named wardens per the anti-ragging committee order.
Does BGS Medical College and Hospital have MD/MS (PG) courses?
No NMC-approved PG courses exist: the NMC's archival record shows exactly one course (MBBS) for this college and the PG seat matrix has no entry. Adichunchanagiri University's page for the college advertises '11 PG Programmes' as NMC-approved — that conflicts with the NMC's own records (a 2024 college cannot yet have PG approvals) and the college's recognition page even displays 2005-2013 approval letters that belong to its older sister college AIMS. Only the NMC position is stated here.
Is BGS Medical College and Hospital safe — are there anti-ragging and harassment committees?
Yes. The published Anti-Ragging Committee has 14 members chaired by the Principal & Dean, including the Medical Superintendent, the boys' and girls' hostel wardens, a practising lawyer, the local police Circle Inspector and two student representatives (both verifiably on the admitted-students list). A 16-member Gender Harassment Prevention Committee (member-secretary: the Microbiology head) and a grievance-redressal policy are also published. The national anti-ragging portal (antiragging.in) applies additionally.
What is the MBBS pass percentage and stipend at BGS Medical College and Hospital?
Neither exists yet, and none is claimed: the first batch was admitted in October 2024 (the college's White Coat Ceremony was 8 November 2024), so no university examination results have been published, and internships are years away. On stipends, the Letter of Permission carries the NMC's standard condition that the college undertake to pay UG internship stipends on par with government medical colleges in Karnataka — no amount is published yet.
Are there scholarships for MBBS at BGS Medical College and Hospital?
None are published. The college site's scholarships page is unedited template text, and Adichunchanagiri University's published scholarship schemes state they apply to its engineering admissions. Karnataka state-quota students can pursue SSP/NSP government scholarships independently.
What is BGS Medical College and Hospital known for?
Being Bengaluru's hospital-first new medical college: the 650-bed BGS MCH Hospital was KPME-registered and seeing over a thousand outpatients a day before the college's 2024 Letter of Permission, the MARB's own LOP remarks recorded faculty above the minimum requirement, and the intake jumped from 150 to 250 in the college's second year — among the largest private MBBS intakes in the city. 15 lakh) is currently the lower of Bengaluru's two 2024-opened colleges.
