Its teaching hospital, Akash Hospital, was registered in 2013 — three years before the college — and the college's current citizen's charter records 1,085 teaching beds plus 105 non-teaching beds, a 105-bed ICU complex and 9 major + 7 minor operation theatres with about 300 teaching faculty and 554 nursing staff (earlier official disclosures recorded 760-770 beds — cited as a conflict). In the college's published clinical statistics for January-June 2022 the hospital saw 2,36,577 outpatients (about 1,307 a day) at 81 percent bed occupancy, with 1,800 births and nearly 15,000 surgeries in six months. All MBBS seats — government, private, management and NRI — are filled strictly on NEET-UG merit through KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) counselling and, for the 15% All-India Quota, through MCC; the college's own admission pages say the same. Be wary of any agent or website promising a guaranteed or direct seat.

Yes — MBBS is NMC-recognised (first recognition dated 7 July 2021, covering students admitted from 2016-17), and the college operates on annual renewal permissions, with the 150-to-250 seat increase granted as a fresh Letter of Permission for AY 2025-26. It is affiliated to RGUHS (not a deemed university), and KEA classifies it as a Minority (L,R) institution. As of our verification it has no NAAC accreditation on record and is absent from the NIRF 2025 Medical participants list.
