About CollegeAndFees

Independent, fee-transparent admission guidance for engineering aspirants in India.

Our Mission

Engineering admissions in India are opaque. Brokers quote different fees to different families on the same day, college websites bury the real numbers behind PDFs and inquiry forms, and aggregator sites repeat outdated figures from 2019. CollegeAndFees exists to close that gap. We publish verified, year-current management quota fees, KCET and COMEDK cutoffs, NIRF and NAAC accreditation, placement reports, and admission-process steps for 360+ engineering colleges across India — with a special focus on Bangalore and Karnataka — so that students and parents can decide for themselves before they call anyone.

Editorial Principles

  • Primary sources first. Every fee is cross-checked against the college's own 2026-27 admission brochure, KEA bulletin, COMEDK handbook, or registrar email — not third-party aggregators.
  • Four-LLM verification. Each major data point is verified across Perplexity Pro, Grok Expert, Gemini Pro, and Claude. If three out of four disagree, the figure is flagged and contacted with the college directly.
  • Annual refresh, May. Every academic year we re-pull fees, placements, and cutoffs in May before each admission cycle starts. The current data set is for 2026-27 admissions.
  • Honest "we don't know". If we can't verify a number, we say so on-page and route the family to our counsellor instead of guessing.
  • No paid placements. Colleges cannot pay to be listed higher, hidden, or featured. Sponsored content, when it exists, is clearly labelled as such.
