RRMCH has NO KEA state-quota cut-off — as a deemed-university college, all seats (UG and PG) are allotted by MCC. UG: MCC does not publish a per-college 'closing rank' document, so the MBBS ranges above are derived from two official admitted-candidate lists for 2025-26 (MCC's joined-candidates list up to Round 3 and the college's own admitted list): Deemed/Paid admissions ran from AIR 1,68,490 to 5,26,412 across Rounds 1-3 (round-wise last joined: R1 3,06,923 · R2 3,86,653 · R3 5,26,412; stray-round entries to ~5,41,606), and NRI admissions from AIR 5,62,521 to ~12,88,464. These are last-ADMITTED ranks, not an official cut-off notification. PG (MD/MS): computed from MCC's official NEET-PG 2025 round-wise FINAL allotment lists (Rounds 1-3 + stray vacancy round) — for each specialty and quota the table shows the last-allotted (highest) NEET-PG 2025 rank in the FINAL round in which that specialty received an allotment at this college; 'Self-Financed Merit Seat' is MCC's name for the deemed paid quota. Because stray-round vacancies can be picked up by better-ranked candidates, a final-round closing rank can sit below an earlier round's (e.g. MD Radio-Diagnosis stray at 52,841 vs Round 3 at 73,698). These are allotment ranks, not joining confirmations. MD/MS (Physiology) received no allotment in any round.

Labs, library, sports, hostels & campus facilities

Raja Rajeswari Medical College & Hospital sits at Kambipura on Mysore Road in south-west Bengaluru, run by the Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust (1992) of the Dr. A. C. How many MBBS, PG and super-speciality seats does Rajarajeswari Medical College have?
250 MBBS seats (all recognised; the intake grew 100 → 150 → 250 since 2005), 21 MD/MS disciplines totalling 218 seats per the NMC seat matrix for AY 2025-26 (largest: OBG 25, General Medicine 22, Radio-Diagnosis 20, General Surgery 17, Pathology 15, Orthopaedics 15), and 8 DM/MCh super-speciality courses totalling 16 seats (DM Cardiology 4, MCh Urology 4, MCh Plastic Surgery 2, MCh CTVS 2 and four single-seat courses) — making it the largest postgraduate centre among the colleges we cover.
Is Rajarajeswari Medical College recognised? Which university is it under?
Yes — all 250 MBBS seats stand NMC-recognised. RRMCH is a constituent unit of Dr. R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai — a deemed-to-be university (MHRD notification of 2003; RRMCH became its constituent by MHRD order of 14 February 2019; before that it was RGUHS-affiliated). 48, 2021); the college's own earlier NAAC 'A' grade expired in February 2020, and no current college-level NAAC certificate is published.
How does MCC deemed-university counselling work for Rajarajeswari Medical College?
All seats are filled through MCC's deemed-quota counselling at mcc.nic.in: register for NEET-UG counselling, pay the deemed-quota registration fee and security deposit, lock choices (RRMCH appears under Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai), and seats are allotted by All-India Rank across Rounds 1, 2, 3 and the stray-vacancy round. Any NEET-qualified candidate from any Indian state can take part — there is no Karnataka domicile requirement for deemed-university seats.
What is the eligibility for MBBS admission at Rajarajeswari Medical College?
Candidates must pass 10+2 / PUC with English and at least 50 percent aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40 percent for reserved categories per NEET rules), be 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year, and qualify NEET-UG. Selection is purely on NEET All-India Rank through MCC deemed-quota counselling — open to candidates from every state.
What is the total MBBS course cost at Rajarajeswari Medical College?
MBBS is a 4.5-year course plus an internship year. At Rs 24,50,000 tuition plus Rs 90,000 fees per year, the Deemed/Paid route works out to roughly Rs 1.14 crore of tuition and fees over the course (excluding the Rs 1,75,000-per-year hostel and mess). The NRI route at USD 44,000 per year is substantially higher. There is no lower-priced government-quota seat at this college.

Postgraduate results were 100 percent in all 14 examined departments in the January 2025 university examinations.
Is Rajarajeswari Medical College safe — are there anti-ragging and harassment committees?
Yes. The college publishes a formal Anti-Ragging Committee (headed by the Dean, chaired by a senior professor, and including a police sub-inspector, media, NGO, parent and student members) plus a separate Anti-Ragging Squad, and a 12-member Internal Complaints Committee under the POSH Act that includes an advocate and a women's-rights activist as external members. Ragging is a punishable offence, and students are additionally protected by the UGC anti-ragging regulations and the official UGC anti-ragging portal (antiragging.in).
What are the hostel fees at Rajarajeswari Medical College?
The hostel fee is published in the college's MCC fee annexures: Rs 1,75,000 per year for MBBS students and Rs 2,05,000 per year for postgraduates. Postgraduate (MD/MS) residents receive Rs 45,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 55,000 per month in the first, second and third year respectively, per the Dean-signed MCC institute profile. For MBBS interns, the college's own site publishes no figure; the NMC's compiled stipend list shows Rs 30,000 per month for this college (that list's university column is outdated, so treat the figure as per-the-NMC-list).
What is the fee refund policy at Rajarajeswari Medical College?
Per the college's MCC Annexure-C declaration, a fee of Rs 75,000 is forfeited if a candidate resigns the seat or is re-allotted in a later round; the balance is refunded per MCC's deemed-quota rules (security deposits and round-wise refund conditions are governed by MCC's counselling scheme on mcc.nic.in).
