NUCAT is the dominant pipeline because NMIT is a constituent institute of the Nitte (Deemed-to-be) University ecosystem. ## Step-by-step application flow 1. **Eligibility check** — 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Minimum aggregate 45% (40% for reserved categories). For Aeronautical, additional aptitude requirements may apply. 2. **Register for NUCAT 2026** — Visit apply.nitte.edu.in from February to April 2026 (verify exact dates on portal). Single registration covers all 12 BTech branches at the Bengaluru campus. 3. **Alternative routes** — KCET 2026 (held 10 May 2026) for state-quota seats; JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January) or Session 2 (April) scores also accepted in lieu of NUCAT. 4. **NUCAT counselling** — Branch + seat allotment runs through Nitte University''s own counselling. KCET-allotted seats run through KEA counselling per state schedule. 5. **Document verification** — Marks card (Class 10 + 12), transfer certificate, migration certificate, conduct certificate, NUCAT/KCET/JEE scorecard, passport-size photographs, Aadhaar copy. NRI applicants additionally need passport copy, parent visa proof, and NRI-category attestation. 6. **Fee payment** — Annual tuition + INR 10,000 exam fee per year.
