NMIT operates on a dual track since October 2024. New cohorts enroll as a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed-to-be University), Mangaluru — with degrees awarded under Nitte DU. Legacy cohorts already enrolled under the VTU-affiliated autonomous track continue to graduate under VTU. Both tracks are fully accredited by NAAC A+, NBA Tier-1 and AICTE Platinum Grade, so candidates selecting either route get a premier institutional pedigree.
