MSRIT Management Quota Fees 2026-27
Updated 11 Jun 2026Reviewed by Amrit Ashu0/17 fee rows source-linked
MSRIT's own fee book publishes exactly one management-category rate — ₹3,32,210 first-year total for AY 2025-26 (COMEDK/Management, Karnataka) — and no branch-wise management prices. The branch-wise figures on this page are counsellor-reported 2026-27 quotes and are marked indicative; the published category fees, the year-wise notices and the AICTE-disclosed 25% management share are sourced to MSRIT's official PDFs. MSRIT had not yet published its 2026-27 fee book when this page was last updated (11 June 2026).

Branch intakes are the sanctioned seats in MSRIT's AICTE Mandatory Disclosure (approval year 2021-22; the 16 listed B.E. branches plus B.Arch sum to the disclosure's stated UG total of 1,340, and match our DB intake table). mq_seats = intake x 25%, the management share MSRIT itself states in the same disclosure (45% KCET / 30% COMEDK / 25% management). Year-wise KEA/COMEDK seat-matrix allotments can vary, so treat mq_seats as the disclosure-based share, not a current-year allotment list. The KEA-allotted vs management split for the current cycle is not published.

How management quota admission works at MSRIT
MSRIT's AICTE Mandatory Disclosure says admissions to all programmes 'generally begin in April every year' and management seats close as they fill; vacated seats may be refilled until the last admission date. The 2026-27 calendar had not been notified on msrit.edu as of 11 June 2026.
- Confirm eligibility
Pass 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC-Karnataka), with Physics and Mathematics compulsory plus one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics, and have appeared in any one entrance exam — KCET, COMEDK, JEE or an institution test. MSRIT's AICTE Mandatory Disclosure lists this consideration explicitly for management-quota direct admission.
- Move early — seats are first-come, first-served
MSRIT's disclosure states management admissions run on a 'first come first allotment' basis and close once seats fill; admissions generally begin in April. Confirm current branch availability before visiting the campus.
- Get the quote in writing
Ask for the branch, the total payable and the year-wise split on paper. The officially published management-category fee is ₹3,32,210 first-year total (AY 2025-26); anything quoted above receipted fees has no official basis.
- Submit documents at the admissions office
Carry originals and photocopies: 10th and 12th marks cards, one entrance rank card, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Migration Certificate (non-Karnataka boards), Aadhaar, and passport photos.
- Pay through the official channel and keep receipts
Fee payment at MSRIT is online into the institution's account (the fee notices state 'mode of fee payment: ONLINE'). Collect an official receipt for every component and confirm the refund policy in writing before paying. Hostel is billed separately.

Published fees vs counsellor-quoted totals — read this before you pay
What MSRIT publishes: the Principal-signed fee structure for AY 2025-26 lists a single 'COMED'K / MANAGEMENT' category for B.E. — ₹3,32,210 first-year total for Karnataka candidates and ₹3,33,710 for non-Karnataka — alongside ₹51,110 (SNQ) and ₹1,32,910 (KCET). The higher-semester notice for the same year bills continuing management-category students ₹3,04,987 (2nd year), ₹2,81,216 (3rd year) and ₹2,66,666 (4th year). Summing the AY 2025-26 notices across years gives roughly ₹11.85 lakh for the official management route — before hostel, and before the annual revisions each new notice brings.
Why counsellor-quoted totals differ: quotes circulating for 2026-27 run from about ₹1.5 lakh to ₹9 lakh per year depending on branch demand (CSE, AI/ML and E&TC at the top), and are often 'front-loaded' — a large Year-1 amount that includes one-time components, with smaller amounts in Years 2-4. None of these branch-wise figures appear in any MSRIT document, which is why our table marks every one of them indicative rather than sourced.
What the law says: the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 — and AICTE norms — prohibit capitation fees and donations as a condition of admission. MSRIT's own AICTE disclosure describes management admission as merit-plus-first-come direct admission. Practically: an amount is only defensible if it appears on an official institution receipt; anything demanded in cash or off-receipt has no legal standing and no refund path.
Our policy is sourced-or-null: every number on this page either links to a public official document (MSRIT fee PDFs, the AICTE Mandatory Disclosure) or is explicitly flagged indicative. We never print unverified 'donation' street prices as fact.
MSRIT management quota — questions parents ask
How much higher is the MSRIT management-quota fee than the KCET or COMEDK fee?
Per MSRIT's official AY 2025-26 fee book, the first-year B.E. total is ₹51,110 under SNQ, ₹1,32,910 under KCET (Karnataka), and ₹3,32,210 under the combined COMEDK/Management category — so the published management route costs about 2.5x the KCET seat in Year 1. Counsellor-reported branch-wise quotes can sit well above the published category rate and are indicative only.
What is the total 4-year cost of a management-quota seat at MSRIT, including hostel?
Officially, summing the AY 2025-26 notices: ₹3,32,210 (Year 1) + ₹3,04,987 + ₹2,81,216 + ₹2,66,666 (currently billed to 2nd/3rd/4th-year management-category batches) is roughly ₹11.85 lakh in tuition-and-fees — note each year's notice is revised annually, so an entering 2026-27 student should expect somewhat higher later-year figures. Hostel is separate; the college profile carries an estimated ₹95,000-1,30,000 per year with mess (estimate, not an official rate card). Counsellor-quoted branch packages (for example about ₹24 lakh for CSE) are indicative and unverified.
Are the branch-wise fees shown here (like ₹6 lakh/year for CSE) official?
No. MSRIT publishes one management-category rate, not branch-wise prices. The branch-wise rows are counsellor-reported 2026-27 quotes — useful as a market signal, but indicative. Always get the exact payable amount in writing from the admissions office and check it against the official fee PDF before paying.
When do MSRIT management-quota admissions open and close?
MSRIT's AICTE Mandatory Disclosure says admissions generally begin in April each year, and management seats are allotted on a first-come, first-allotment basis until each branch's share (25% of intake) is full. High-demand branches such as CSE and AI/ML typically close earliest, so confirm availability before visiting.
Do I need a KCET or COMEDK rank for a management-quota seat at MSRIT?
You need to have appeared in at least one recognised entrance exam: MSRIT's AICTE disclosure states that management-quota direct admission considers 'any one entrance exam like KCET, COMEDK, JEE, NATA, Institution entrance exam etc.', alongside 10+2 eligibility of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC-Karnataka; Physics and Mathematics compulsory). A specific cutoff rank is not published for the management route.
Is paying a donation for an MSRIT seat legal? Will I get a receipt?
Capitation fees and admission-linked donations are prohibited by the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984. MSRIT's published process is merit-plus-first-come direct admission with online fee payment into the institution account; insist that every component you pay appears on an official MSRIT receipt, and treat any off-receipt cash demand as a red flag with no legal or refund protection.
What documents are needed for MSRIT management-quota admission?
Carry originals and photocopies of: 10th and 12th marks cards, rank card of any one entrance exam (KCET/COMEDK/JEE), Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Migration Certificate for non-Karnataka boards, Aadhaar or passport, four passport-size photographs, and caste certificate if applicable.
