FAQ

ACED FAQs

Does Alliance College of Engineering and Design (ACED) accept KCET / COMEDK seats?
Alliance accepts KCET and COMEDK scores as qualifying entrance test scores for B.Tech admission, but seats are NOT allocated through KEA or COMEDK counselling. All B.Tech intake at Alliance is administered through the university's own selection process — AUEET (Alliance Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Test) plus a Personal Interview, or via JEE Main / JEE Advanced / SAT / CUET / AUSAT score-based direct counselling. Apply via apply.alliance.edu.in.
What is the AU-QUASAR B.Tech fee structure?
AU-QUASAR (Alliance University — Quantum AI School for Advanced Research) offers four honours-track B.Tech specialisations: AI & ML, CSE Quantum Computing & Information Science, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Robotics & AI. Total programme fee is INR 24,00,000 (over 4 years) split as ₹5,75,000 + ₹6,00,000 + ₹6,00,000 + ₹6,00,000. There is a one-time INR 25,000 registration fee and an INR 3,000 Alumni Association fee. Foreign nationals pay USD 33,000 total + USD 500 registration. The Learners Value Proposition (registration) is non-refundable after 14 June 2026.
What does the management quota cost for B.Tech CSE at Alliance?
Per the management-quota survey, B.Tech CSE (regular) at Alliance carries Y1 INR 4,75,000, Y2 INR 3,50,000, Y3 INR 3,50,000, Y4 INR 3,50,000 — total INR 20,00,000 across 4 years + INR 25,000 registration. No donation is required (donation flag = no). For CSE in Cyber Security, the figure is INR 4,50,000 × 4 = INR 18,00,000 + ₹25,000. These survey figures represent on-ground market price and supersede college-published management-quota figures where they differ.
Is Alliance University NAAC-accredited? What about NBA for engineering?
Alliance University holds NAAC Cycle 1 Grade A+ (accredited November 2024) at the university level, which covers Alliance College of Engineering and Design as a constituent school. NBA accreditation status is more limited: only SARs (Self-Assessment Reports) for ECE and MBA are listed on the IQAC NBA hub; no NBA accreditation award letter has been published for any B.Tech programme yet. Alliance is also IACBE-accredited (business / management scope) and an Academic Affiliate of IET-UK.
What hostel options are available at Alliance, and what does it cost?
Alliance operates 23 Halls of Residence (HoR-01 through HoR-21B plus two AIC blocks) with a total capacity of 4,040 beds — 1,980 boys and 2,060 girls. Annual hostel fee ranges from INR 1,20,000 (basic) to INR 2,88,000 (premium), with mess and laundry (14 kg/month) included. There is a one-time INR 5,000 maintenance fee and a refundable INR 20,000 security deposit. In-time 22:00; out-time 06:00; visitors not allowed in rooms. Mess is mandatory.
What is the audited placement record for engineering at Alliance?
Per the IQAC-audited Academic and Administrative Audit Report 2022-23 (Criterion 4), the engineering placement record for the 2018-2022 cycle at ACED is: 90.2 % placement rate, ₹16,00,000 highest CTC, and ₹5,29,000 average CTC. The earlier 2014-2018 cycle closed at 42.2 % placement rate. Headline figures like ₹60.1 LPA published on the homepage / engineering school page refer to university-wide marketing (likely MBA outlier), not the audited engineering aggregate.
What scholarships are available for B.Tech at Alliance?
Alliance publishes 15+ institutional scholarship schemes for B.Tech: AUSAT tiered tuition waiver (90+ percentile → 25%; 80+ → 15%; 70+ → 10%), AUSAT Freeship (₹50,000 / ₹25,000), JEE Main Merit (95+ → 50%; 90-95 → 25%), CUET Merit, SAT Merit, Class X/XII Merit, SC/ST Category (20%), Differently Abled (50%), PwD (15%), Karnataka Domicile (5%), Defence & Paramilitary (15%), Sports (up to 100%), Foreign National (up to 50%), Alliance Alumni (15%), and MCA Category-based schemes. Continuation requires ≥6.5 GPA and no backlog. Most institutional schemes are restricted to resident Indian nationals.
Where is Alliance University's Central Campus located, and how do I get there?
The Central Campus (ACED's home) is at Chikkahagade Cross, Chandapura - Anekal Main Road, Anekal, Bengaluru – 562106, Karnataka. The nearest local hub is Anekal (10 minutes by local transport); the nearest metro station is Bommasandra Metro Station on the Yellow Line (RV Road–Bommasandra), approximately 20 minutes from the campus.
