BMSCE Management Quota Fees 2026-27
Updated 11 Jun 2026Reviewed by Amrit Ashu13/13 fee rows source-linked
BMS College of Engineering publishes its management-quota fee structure on its own admissions page — every per-annum rate below comes from the college's 'Approved Management Fee Structure for 2026-27' (verified 11 June 2026), not from counsellor estimates. Rates run from ₹4 lakh/yr (Chemical) to ₹15 lakh/yr (CSE); hostel fees are extra by the college's own note, and 4-year totals shown are projections at the 2026-27 per-annum rate since BMSCE revises fee circulars each academic year. Seat intake per branch is from the AICTE Extension of Approval 2026-27; BMSCE does not publish how those seats split between KEA, COMEDK and management quota.

How management quota admission works at BMSCE
Management-quota enquiries at BMSCE typically run alongside KCET/COMEDK counselling (June-August). High-demand branches (CSE, ECE, AI/ML) close first — the college has posted an 'Admissions Closed for the Management Quota Seats' notice on its UG page in past cycles once seats filled, so verify current availability with the trust office before visiting.
- Qualify in an accepted entrance exam
BMSCE requires management-quota candidates to have taken and qualified in KCET (KEA CET), COMEDK UGET or JEE (Main) Paper-I. Class 12 must include Physics and Mathematics (compulsory) plus one of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics.
- message a CollegeAndFees counsellor on WhatsApp directly
- Confirm branch availability and the published fee
Check seat availability for your branch and match the quoted fee against the published 2026-27 table (₹4 lakh-₹15 lakh per annum depending on branch). The college posts an 'admissions closed' notice on the UG page once management-quota seats are exhausted, so confirm current status before travelling.
- Pay by Demand Draft from the parent's account
BMSCE's published payment rule: Demand Draft favouring 'BMS Educational Trust', payable at Bengaluru, drawn from the PARENT'S account only. Collect an official receipt for every payment.
- Complete college-level admission and document verification
After the trust-level fee, college miscellaneous charges are paid in college (the 2024-25 mandatory-disclosure annexure listed ₹33,970 in-college for Karnataka management-quota students). Submit originals for verification and complete enrolment formalities.
- Class 10 and Class 12 (2nd PUC) marks cards and passing certificates
- KCET / COMEDK UGET / JEE (Main) Paper-I scorecard or rank card
- Transfer certificate (PUC II / school)
- Migration certificate (non-Karnataka boards)
- Aadhaar or other valid photo ID (student and parent)
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Demand Draft favouring 'BMS Educational Trust' drawn from the parent's account
Published fees vs counsellor-quoted totals — what's legal and what to pay
BMSCE is unusually transparent for a management-quota admission: the college itself publishes a branch-wise 'Approved Management Fee Structure for 2026-27' on its UG admissions page, from ₹4 lakh per annum (Chemical Engineering) to ₹15 lakh per annum (CSE). That published per-annum figure is the trust-level management fee. It does not include hostel (the college's own note says hostel fees are extra) or the college-level miscellaneous charges paid separately in college — about ₹34,000 for Karnataka students in the most recent mandatory-disclosure fee annexure.
Counsellor-quoted 'all-in' totals for BMSCE management seats are often higher than these published rates. Our own counselling-desk records (May 2026) flagged a donation component as commonly reported for all 13 B.E. branches — that is why each row in our table carries a donation flag. We do not print street-quoted donation amounts because no official document supports any such figure, and our policy is sourced-or-null.
Karnataka law is unambiguous: the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 prohibits collecting capitation — any amount beyond the notified/published fee — and AICTE norms prohibit it for technical institutions. BMSCE's own page reinforces the clean route: pay only by Demand Draft favouring 'BMS Educational Trust' from the parent's account, and the trust does not encourage admissions through agents. If anyone — including a third-party consultant — quotes a cash component without a receipt, that demand has no official basis.
Practical rule: treat the published table as the anchor, get every component (tuition, college charges, hostel) in writing with a receipt, and verify the refund policy before paying. If a quoted total exceeds the published per-annum rate times the duration plus documented charges, ask exactly which receipted head the difference falls under.
BMSCE management quota — questions parents ask
What is the management quota fee for CSE at BMSCE for 2026-27?
₹15 lakh per annum, per the 'Approved Management Fee Structure for 2026-27' published on BMSCE's own UG admissions page — the highest of the 13 listed branches. At that rate a 4-year B.E. projects to about ₹60 lakh in management fees; hostel is extra and college miscellaneous charges are paid separately.
What are BMSCE's management quota fees for the other branches?
Per the same official 2026-27 table (per annum): AI & ML ₹12.5L; AI & Data Science, CSE (Data Science) and CSE (IoT & Cyber Security incl Blockchain) ₹12L; CSBS ₹10L; ECE ₹9L; Biotechnology ₹7L; Civil, Mechanical, EEE and Industrial Engineering & Management ₹6L; Chemical ₹4L.
How much cheaper is the KCET route than management quota at BMSCE?
Substantially. The 2025-26 fee circular (2nd-year) puts the CET unaided (E048) route at ₹76,135 tuition — about ₹1.03 lakh grand total with miscellaneous fees — and the COMEDK route at about ₹2.88 lakh grand total for the same year. Management quota for CSE is ₹15 lakh per annum, roughly 15x the CET grand total; lower-demand branches like Chemical (₹4L) narrow the gap.
Is a donation legal? Will I get a receipt for everything I pay?
Capitation — any charge beyond published/receipted fees — is prohibited by the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 and AICTE norms. BMSCE's published process is clean: Demand Draft favouring 'BMS Educational Trust' from the parent's account, official receipts, no agents. Counsellor-quoted totals above the published table have no official basis; insist on a receipt for every component and refuse unreceipted cash demands.
What documents do I need for BMSCE management quota admission?
Class 10 and 12 marks cards and passing certificates, the KCET/COMEDK/JEE Main scorecard (qualifying in one of these is mandatory), transfer certificate, migration certificate for non-Karnataka boards, photo ID for student and parent, passport-size photos, and the Demand Draft favouring 'BMS Educational Trust' drawn from the parent's account.
What will 4 years at BMSCE through management quota actually cost including hostel?
The published management fee projects to ₹16 lakh (Chemical) up to ₹60 lakh (CSE) over 4 years at the 2026-27 per-annum rate — BMSCE revises circulars annually, so treat totals as projections. On top of that: college miscellaneous charges (about ₹34,000 in-college for Karnataka MQ students in the latest mandatory-disclosure annexure) and hostel, which the college states is extra and whose current rate it does not publish on the checked pages — get the hostel quote in writing from the BMSET hostel office.
