What is the MBBS fee at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Manipal for 2026-27?
Per MAHE's official fee notification for the 2026-27 batch, the MBBS General category first-installment total is Rs 17,83,000 — tuition Rs 10,99,000 + other fees Rs 6,74,000 + a refundable caution deposit of Rs 10,000 — followed by three remaining yearly installments totalling Rs 53,17,500, for a whole-course total of Rs 71,00,500 across the 5.5-year fee schedule (4.5 years of study + internship year). These are MAHE's own notified fees: KMC Manipal is a deemed-university college, so there are no KEA fee tiers.
What is the NRI quota fee for MBBS at KMC Manipal?
MAHE publishes NRI category fees in US dollars: for the 2026-27 batch the MBBS first installment is USD 49,450 (tuition USD 30,600 + other fees USD 18,650 + the refundable USD 200 caution deposit), the remaining installments total USD 1,47,750, and the whole-course total is USD 1,97,200 inclusive of that deposit. NRI seats are also allotted by MCC's deemed-quota counselling on the NEET-UG All-India Rank — the higher fee buys no exemption from NEET merit.
What NEET cutoff or rank is needed for KMC Manipal MBBS?
There is no KEA cutoff for this college (it has no Karnataka state-quota seats), and MCC does not publish a per-college closing-rank document for deemed universities — allotment happens afresh each year across MCC Rounds 1-3 and the stray-vacancy round on the NEET-UG All-India Rank. No — they are two separate sister medical colleges under the same MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) deemed university. Kasturba Medical College, Manipal — NMC code KA/036/P/3, established 1953, Madhav Nagar campus in Manipal (Udupi district), teaching hospital Kasturba Hospital Manipal — is the college this page covers.
