Basaveswara Medical College NEET-UG cutoffs
Both official KEA NEET-UG cutoff sets are shown for Basaveswara Medical College and Hospital (KEA code M020, listed by KEA as 'SRI BASAVESHWARA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, S.J.M.I.T CAMPUS, CHITRADURGA'), from CET-2024 Round 2 — the latest numbered category cutoff KEA has published for this college in the available set. In the government/state-quota publication the General Merit MBBS seat closed at NEET-UG All-India rank 73,891 (other closings that round: GM-Kannada 95,792, GM-Rural 79,536, 2A-Rural 94,291, SC-Rural 2,32,014). In KEA's separate private/NRI/Others publication, the open private (OPN) seat closed at 1,12,388 and the private GM (GMP) seat at 1,33,384. Management (Others) and NRI seats carry closing ranks too — 12,19,622 and 13,85,900: they are merit-ranked allotments into quota-priced seats, not open-merit seats. All ranks are NEET-UG All-India ranks, not scores. NEET-PG (MD/MS, 2025-26): KEA publishes round-wise final seat-allotment lists rather than a numbered PG cutoff table, so every PG figure shown is a computed last-allotted rank — the highest NEET-PG 2025 All-India rank printed against a seat of this college in the named round's official final allotment list (non-in-service series: R1 final 29-11-2025, R2 final 24-12-2025, mop-up/R3 final 26-02-2026, stray 07-03-2026, stray-extended 11-03-2026). KEA's PG documents list the college under PG code M23 — different from the UG counselling code M020 — and the rows were matched by the college's printed name, never by code alone. Quota letters follow KEA's PG fee structure: G = Government fees, P = Private fees, Q = Others/management (allotment category code MNG), N = NRI. As a private RGUHS-affiliated (non-deemed) college without central-institution or deemed-university status, its MD/MS seats do not fall under MCC's 50% deemed/central-quota counselling — all PG counselling for this college runs through KEA. MD Anatomy, MD Biochemistry and MD Forensic Medicine are priced in KEA's PG fee structure but no allotment to them appears in any 2025 round.

Basaveswara Medical College and Hospital (BMCH), Chitradurga is the only medical college in the entire Chitradurga district — founded by the Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra (SJM) Vidyapeetha, the 1964-registered apex educational body of the SJM Math whose lineage traces to the 12th-century Sharana tradition of Basaveshwara, and which today runs about 150 institutions. The college's own About page says it started teaching in 2001-02 — its first MBBS batch — and the NMC msmer pro-forma records the establishment Letter of Permission dated 18 May 2001. MBBS is NMC-Recognised (status 'R', code KA/006/P/4) with degrees recognised from 2005-06; the intake grew from 100 to 150 seats in AY 2022-23 (seat-increase LOP dated 20-10-2022), the additional 50 seats running on annual NMC renewal, most recently for AY 2025-26. Postgraduate training spans 18 MD/MS specialities totalling 73 seats per the NMC PG seat matrix of 30.01.2026, all KEA-counselled — the college has no DM/MCh super-speciality courses. Spelling varies across official records — NMC writes 'Basaveswara', KEA 'Sri Basaveshwara' (code M020) and the college itself 'Basaveshwara (BMCH)' — and Karnataka has other unrelated 'Basaveshwar' institutions (an engineering college at Bagalkot, a hospital at Kalaburagi), so every figure on this page is anchored to NMC code KA/006/P/4 and KEA code M020 at Chitradurga. Academic results published by the college are dated but official: its Academic Details page states RGUHS MBBS results 'always not less than 75%', and its 2018 results disclosure shows phase-wise pass rates of 79% (II MBBS), 88% (III MBBS Part I) and 92% (III MBBS Part II) in the December-2018 RGUHS examinations. (Note: the SJM Vidyapeetha's spiritual governance is led by the reigning pontiff of the SJM Math — the college's SJM Vidyapeetha overview page names Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru as the present seer and President; the college's separate President's-message page names Sri Shivayogi C Kalasad, Retired IAS, as President. Both pages are on the college's official site and both use the same title — this internal conflict is recorded and neither person is presented as the unambiguous holder of the role.)
