These are last-allotted (closing) ranks computed from the official MCC allotment lists, not from a state-CET cut-off table — MGM Medical College, Aurangabad is a deemed-to-be-university, so it has NO Maharashtra CAP route and NO state-CET cut-off; every MBBS seat is filled through MCC (MCC institute code 200367). The college is absent from all Maharashtra CET-Cell CAP selection lists and from MCC's UG special-stray matrix (its seats filled before that round). For NEET-UG, the figures are the worst (highest) NEET All-India Rank that held a MGM Aurangabad MBBS seat at the end of each MCC round, computed from the official MCC UG 2025 Final Result allotment lists: in the Deemed/Paid (management) quota the last-allotted rank deepened from about 2,08,996 (Round 1) to 2,77,135 (Round 2) to 2,97,942 (Round 3) as higher-ranked candidates upgraded out and the Rs 23,50,000/year paid seats filled with lower ranks; in the NRI quota the last-allotted rank was about 10,95,728 in Round 1 and 6,31,193 in Round 2 (no fresh NRI allotment remained by Round 3). For NEET-PG, the figures are the deepest Self-Financed/Deemed (paid) rank that held a seat in each listed MD/MS discipline across MCC PG 2025 Rounds 1-3. All groups are computed from official MCC allotment lists; MCC does not publish a single closing-rank table per college, so treat these as indicative round closings rather than an official cut-off notice.

Research & rankings

Centres, patents, grants & MoU partners

MGM Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) is a constituent medical college of MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS), a deemed-to-be-university notified in 2006 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Established in 1990 by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) Trust (founded 1982 at Nanded), the college has built a deep clinical and research base over three decades: a central research laboratory, ICMR-funded projects, and collaborations spanning industry and academia (the about-us page lists roughly 30 partners). Its hospital pioneered liver transplantation and bone-marrow transplantation in the Marathwada region and reports more than 117 renal transplants. The college is NOT to be confused with MGMIHS's other constituent medical colleges at Kamothe (Navi Mumbai), Panvel, Vashi or Nerul — every figure on this page belongs to the Aurangabad campus. As a long-established college (first batch 1990; MBBS recognised in 1996; 150-seat NMC recognition letter of 2021), it has full MBBS examination history, unlike newly-permitted colleges.

FAQ

Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) FAQs

What is the MBBS fee at MGM Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)?
For AY 2025-26 the Deemed/Paid (management) quota tuition is Rs 23,50,000 per year and the NRI quota is USD 60,000 per year (paid in rupees at the admission-day rate). Both quotas also pay one-time Other Fees of Rs 1,60,000 (including a Rs 1,00,000 refundable security deposit) and a one-time University Eligibility Fee of Rs 1,17,500. Because MBBS runs 4.5 years, the deemed/paid course-length tuition is about Rs 1,05,75,000. These figures are from the college's own First-MBBS fee notification (Annexure-2).
Does MGM Aurangabad have a management quota, and how does it work for a deemed college?
Yes — at a deemed-to-be-university the 'management' tier is the Deemed/Paid Seat quota, which is 212 of the 250 MBBS seats at Rs 23,50,000 per year; the other 38 are NRI seats. But there is no separate college-level booking: every deemed/paid and NRI seat is allotted only through MCC (DGHS) counselling on NEET-UG merit, by selecting MCC institute code 200367. There is no Maharashtra state CAP route and no government/subsidised quota here.
What was the NEET-UG cutoff / closing rank for MGM Aurangabad in 2025?
Computed from the official MCC UG 2025 allotment lists, the Deemed/Paid (management) quota last-allotted NEET All-India Rank deepened from about 2,08,996 in Round 1 to 2,77,135 in Round 2 to 2,97,942 in Round 3. NRI-quota seats were allotted to ranks up to about 10,95,728 in Round 1 and 6,31,193 in Round 2. Because the deemed/paid seats cost Rs 23,50,000 a year, closing ranks run deep — and NRI seats deeper still. MCC publishes allotment lists, not a single per-college cut-off, so treat these as indicative round closings.
How many MBBS seats does MGM Aurangabad have?
250 for AY 2025-26 per the NMC final UG seat matrix as on 03.12.2025 — up from 200 in AY 2024-25. The 250 seats split into 212 Deemed/Paid (management) and 38 NRI, and the college's own admitted-students list filed on the NMC portal runs to serial 250.
Is admission through MCC or Maharashtra state CAP counselling?
Entirely through MCC. As a deemed-to-be-university, MGM Aurangabad does not take part in Maharashtra's state CAP — it is absent from every Maharashtra CET-Cell CAP selection list and FRA fee list. Admission is on NEET-UG merit via the MCC (DGHS) online central counselling at mcc.nic.in, choosing MGM Medical College, Aurangabad (institute code 200367).
Is there direct admission to MBBS at MGM Aurangabad?
No. The college's own admission procedure states in capitals that 'ADMISSION IS NOT ALLOWED / CAN NOT BE DONE AT COLLEGE LEVEL'. NEET-UG qualification is mandatory and every seat — deemed/paid and NRI — is filled only through MCC counselling. Treat any agent offering a seat outside the NEET / MCC process with extreme caution.
Is MGM Medical College, Aurangabad recognised by the NMC?
Yes for the established intake — the college's NMC MARB disclosure records 'Recognised (150 MBBS seats)' under letter No. NMC/URG/2020/014430 dated 15-07-2021, and the college has run MBBS since 1990 (recognised by the erstwhile MCI in 1996). The intake now stands at 250 per the NMC final seat matrix; the recognition stage of the seats added above 150 is not separately published, so this page reports the 250 figure from the matrix without claiming the extra seats are individually recognised.
Which university is MGM Aurangabad under, and is it affiliated to MUHS?
It is a constituent college of MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS), Navi Mumbai — a deemed-to-be-university notified in 2006 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. It is NOT affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik; deemed-university constituent colleges sit outside MUHS affiliation, which is why admission runs through MCC rather than the Maharashtra CET.
Is this the same as MGM Medical College in Navi Mumbai (Kamothe), Panvel, Vashi or Nerul?
No. MGM Institute of Health Sciences runs several medical colleges — Aurangabad (this page), Kamothe in Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Vashi and Nerul. They have different NMC seat-matrix rows, different MCC codes and different fees. Every fee, seat, cutoff and facility on this page belongs to the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) campus only; the university's registered office being at Kamothe, Navi Mumbai does not change that.
What is the NRI quota fee at MGM Aurangabad?
The NRI quota tuition is USD 60,000 per year, paid in Indian rupees at the conversion rate prevailing on the day of admission, so no fixed rupee figure is notified. There are 38 NRI seats out of 250. NRI candidates must still qualify NEET-UG and be allotted the seat through MCC counselling.
What are the hostel and mess fees at MGM Aurangabad?
Per the official 2025-26 hostel-fee notification, annual hostel fees range from about Rs 52,360 to Rs 2,35,330 depending on sharing and AC (most non-AC sharing rooms are roughly Rs 78,000-Rs 1,15,490), plus a Rs 20,000 deposit. Mess charges are Rs 32,400/year for two meals and Rs 48,000/year for three meals in the Ganga, BAA and Bapu hostels (Rs 42,000 / Rs 60,000 in Indrayani Hostel). Separate men's (165-room) and women's (344-room) hostels are on campus.
What stipend do interns and PG residents get at MGM Aurangabad?
Per the college's October 2025 stipend disclosure, MBBS interns receive a college stipend of Rs 18,000 per month. PG residents receive about Rs 88,000 (1st year), Rs 89,000 (2nd year) and Rs 90,000 (3rd year) per month, and super-specialty (DM/M.Ch) residents about Rs 92,000-Rs 97,000 per month.
