MGM Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) is a constituent medical college of MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS), a deemed-to-be-university notified in 2006 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Established in 1990 by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) Trust (founded 1982 at Nanded), the college has built a deep clinical and research base over three decades: a central research laboratory, ICMR-funded projects, and collaborations spanning industry and academia (the about-us page lists roughly 30 partners). Its hospital pioneered liver transplantation and bone-marrow transplantation in the Marathwada region and reports more than 117 renal transplants. The college is NOT to be confused with MGMIHS's other constituent medical colleges at Kamothe (Navi Mumbai), Panvel, Vashi or Nerul — every figure on this page belongs to the Aurangabad campus.
