All ranks here are COMPUTED from official MCC (DGHS) documents — this deemed college has no KNRUHS cutoff because it does not participate in KNRUHS counselling (verified: zero rows in every KNRUHS UG/PG 2025-26 seat matrix and college-wise allotment list). UG: the last (highest) NEET-UG 2025 All-India Rank among candidates ADMITTED/JOINED at institute code 902856, computed per round from MCC's 'Admitted/Joined Candidates List upto Round 3, UG Counselling 2025' — Deemed/Paid Seats Quota closed at AIR 3,30,404 (Round 1, 77 joiners), 3,93,653 (Round 2, 54) and 4,57,986 (Round 3, 41); NRI joiners ran from AIR 5,16,403 up to 12,30,338 (Round 3). MCC's stray-round seat matrix carried 1 leftover MBBS paid seat, and the college's own admitted list for AY 2025-26 runs to the full 200 students. PG: last allotted NEET-PG 2025 rank per course across MCC Rounds 1, 2, 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round, computed from MCC's final allotment result PDFs (282 allotments at this college: 253 Self-Financed/Paid + 29 NRI). These are admission/allotment-list readings, not an MCC-published 'closing rank' document. Note for comparison shoppers: paid-seat PG ranks here span roughly 39,898 (MD DVL) to 1,59,003 (MD Microbiology).

No scholarship or fee-waiver scheme is published anywhere on mrims.edu.in or the university site mrvv.edu.in — there is no scholarships page and the Dean-signed fee notices carry no concession clause, so none is claimed. Note also that the seats here are deemed-university paid seats; Telangana's Cat-A subsidised convener tier does not exist at this college.

Infrastructure & facilities

Labs, library, sports, hostels & campus facilities

The campus sits on Suraram Main Road in GHMC Quthbullapur (Jeedimetla), about 20 km from Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations, with a total built-up area of 10 acres across 4 buildings shared by the college and its 1250-bed teaching hospital — and the same Suraram campus also hosts the separate Malla Reddy Medical College for Women under the same deemed university, so check the college name on every document. The MRIMS Central Library (established 2012, 30,472 sq ft total) holds 14,887 volumes, 4,801 titles and 101 print journals, with a 1,296 sq ft digital library; Chief Librarian M. Shyam Sunder Babu. The anatomy museum's specimen and display halls, the Dhanvantari statue lobby and the signposted girls' hostel block appear in the gallery below — all photographs are from the college's own site.

2012; first MBBS batch 2012-13 with 150 seats) and is today one of only two DEEMED-university medical colleges in Telangana — a constituent college of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (MRV), notified under Section 3 of the UGC Act vide Notification No. 3(A) by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Chandramma Educational Society. The 2024 deemed conversion moved its admissions from KNRUHS to 100% MCC (DGHS) counselling and put fee-setting in the college's own hands. 2022 reading 'Approved Permission for 50 MBBS Seats (Increased from 150 to 200 MBBS Seats)', and recognition of the full 200 falls due when the first 200-intake batch reaches its final MBBS examination. Honest disclosure: the NMC's renewal for AY 2025-26 (letter dated 3 July 2025) was a conditional renewal of 200 UG (MBBS) seats 'subject to rectification of deficiencies within four months' — the assessors had flagged faculty attendance (AEBAS) gaps in 17 of 20 departments (the college's explanation was later accepted) and that 'Cytopathology is still Inadequate', and the previous year's renewal had carried a penalty; no published document yet confirms rectification, while admissions did complete in full (200/200). On the same Suraram campus, the same university runs the separate Malla Reddy Medical College for Women — a different college with its own seats, fees and counselling code. MRIMS itself offers MBBS (200) plus 170 MD/MS seats in 16 courses, runs a 1250-bed teaching hospital reporting 63,565 outpatient visits in May 2026, and pays its PG residents a published stipend of Rs 45,000/47,000/49,000 per month across years 1-3. No NAAC grade and no NIRF Medical rank are verifiable for the college (it filed a NIRF 2023 data submission, IR-D-C-58539), so neither is claimed.

FAQ

Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences FAQs

How is the MBBS tuition fee structured at MRIMS Hyderabad — yearly or instalments?
The fee notice says 'Tuition Fee for entire course applicable in 5 installments': Rs 21,50,000 each for instalments I, II, III and IV, then Rs 10,75,000 for instalment V — Rs 96,75,000 in total for the 4.5-year course, with the first instalment paid at admission. This is the college's OWN deemed-university fee structure for 2025-26; no AY 2026-27 notice is published yet. The KNRUHS 5-equal-instalment circular applies to KNRUHS-route colleges, not to this college.
Is admission to Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences through KNRUHS or MCC?
100% MCC. Since the 2024 conversion to a Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (deemed university) constituent college, every MBBS and MD/MS seat is allotted by the Medical Counselling Committee (DGHS, Govt. of India) on NEET merit — the college's own admission bond names 'the Common Counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)'. It appears in no KNRUHS 2025-26 seat matrix or allotment list. Telangana state counselling (KNRUHS) plays no role here.
Does Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences have a Rs 60,000 government-quota (Cat-A) seat?
Not any more. Telangana's G.O.Ms. No.106 (28.07.2023) still prints a pre-conversion row for this college — Cat-A Rs 60,000, Cat-B Rs 13,00,000, Cat-C up to 2x Cat-B — but those tiers were fixed when MRIMS was a KNRUHS-affiliated private college, BEFORE it became a deemed-university constituent in 2024. AY 2025-26 seats were not filled through KNRUHS at all, so no subsidised Cat-A convener seat exists here; every seat is an MCC-allotted paid seat at the college's own fee (Rs 21,50,000 for year 1).
What is the NRI quota fee at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences?
The NRI/FN/PIO category is billed in US dollars: $42,000 USD per instalment for instalments I-IV and $21,000 USD for instalment V — $1,89,000 USD computed across the course; the college publishes no rupee figure for this tier. NRI seats are real and were used: MCC's UG 2025 admitted list shows 27 NRI joiners at the college up to Round 3, and NEET-PG 2025 had 29 NRI allotments. NRI applicants need the affidavit set on the college checklist — passport and visa copies, relationship certificate with family tree, bank statement and embassy certificate.
How many MBBS and PG seats does Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences have?
200 MBBS seats (NMC final UG seat matrix of 03.12.2025; the college's own AY 2025-26 admitted list runs to exactly 200 students) and 170 MD/MS seats across 16 courses per the NMC PG matrix of 30.01.2026 — the largest blocks being MD General Medicine (24), MS General Surgery (24), MD Anaesthesiology (23), MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology (18), MD Radio Diagnosis (15) and MD Pediatrics (14). There are no DM/MCh courses at this college.
Is Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences recognised by NMC?
Yes for 150 seats; permitted for the rest — and the latest renewal was conditional. MBBS was recognised with an annual intake of 150 by the Gazette notification dated 31 May 2017. The increase from 150 to 200 (NMC LOP dated 03.01.2022) is at the permitted stage until the first 200-intake batch completes final MBBS. For AY 2025-26 the NMC granted conditional renewal of 200 UG (MBBS) seats 'subject to rectification of deficiencies within four months' (letter dated 3 July 2025), after flagging faculty-attendance gaps in 17 of 20 departments (the college's explanation was accepted) and inadequate Cytopathology; the AY 2024-25 renewal had carried a penalty. No published source yet confirms the deficiencies were rectified — admissions did complete in full.
Is Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences the same as Malla Reddy Medical College for Women?
No — and confusing them is the most common mistake about this campus. Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences (MRIMS, co-ed, MCC institute code 902856) and Malla Reddy Medical College for Women (women only, a separate college with its own 200 seats and its own MCC code) BOTH sit on the same Suraram campus under the same deemed university, Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth. Their fees, cutoffs and admitted lists are separate documents — the 3 DM-Cardiology seats in NMC's super-speciality matrix, for instance, belong to the women's college, not MRIMS. This page covers only the co-ed MRIMS.
What are the PG (MD/MS) fees and stipend at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences?
The college's 2025-26 PG fee notice prices each course per year (General category): MD Dermatology Rs 65,00,000, MD Radio Diagnosis Rs 60,00,000, MD General Medicine Rs 55,00,000, MD Pediatrics and MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology Rs 50,00,000, MS General Surgery/Orthopedics/Ophthalmology Rs 40,00,000, MD Respiratory and Emergency Medicine Rs 35,00,000, MD Anaesthesiology and MS ENT Rs 30,00,000, MD Psychiatry Rs 25,00,000, MD Pathology Rs 11,00,000, and MD Microbiology and Community Medicine Rs 2,50,000 — whole-course tuition in 3 instalments, plus a Rs 1,00,000 admission/registration bundle. Nine courses have NRI fees of $85,000-$1,50,000 USD a year. The same notice publishes the PG stipend: Rs 45,000, Rs 47,000 and Rs 49,000 per month in years 1, 2 and 3.
Which university is Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences affiliated to?
It is a constituent college of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (MRV), Suraram — a deemed-to-be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, notified vide No. 9-4/2024-U.3(A) by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Chandramma Educational Society. Before the 2024 conversion it was affiliated to KNRUHS, Warangal (and to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences at its 2017 recognition). Some NMC records still print KNRUHS — a lag the NMC's own 2025 renewal letter asks to be clarified; MRV governs current admissions, degrees and fees. Note that MRV is a different institution from the Malla Reddy brand's separately-established state private university in Hyderabad — verify 'Vishwavidyapeeth' on any document.
What are the hostel fees at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences?
Rs 1,50,000 per year for a non-A/C room with mess — published identically in the MBBS and PG fee notices — with the demand draft drawn in favour of 'Mallikarjuna Hospitality Private Limited', payable at Hyderabad. The PG notice adds that a hostel upgrade is available, without pricing it. Sharing options and capacity are not published, so ask the college at admission.
How big is the teaching hospital at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences?
The college describes a 1250-bed teaching hospital at Suraram on its About page, and its monthly disclosures back the scale up: the May 2026 outpatient register totals 63,565 OPD visits (7,410 of them casualty), and the May 2026 bed-occupancy register shows 900-1,000 in-patients on any given day at 82-91% occupancy with weekday admissions around 220-260. Notably, the NMC's 2025 renewal letter faulted faculty attendance and Cytopathology — not clinical material.
What stipend do MBBS interns get at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences?
No current intern-stipend figure is published by the college, so none is claimed. The NMC's national Stipend Detail List (report year 2024, compiled before the deemed conversion) shows the Telangana state-government UG benchmark of Rs 25,900 against this college's row while listing the college's own stipend as 'Nill' — an ambiguous, pre-conversion record. What IS clearly published is the PG stipend in the college's own 2025-26 fee notice: Rs 45,000/47,000/49,000 per month across the three years. For safety and conduct, the college operates under the NMC/UGC anti-ragging mandate (committee pages on its site; the national portal is antiragging.in).
