No. VKIT/VIT Bangalore is an entirely separate institution — a private engineering college located at Gudimavu, Kumbalgodu, on Bangalore-Mysore Road 560074, affiliated to VTU Belagavi and founded in 1997 by Janatha Education Society (JES).
