FAQ
SKIT FAQs
Is Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) Bengaluru affiliated to VTU and approved by AICTE?
Yes. SKIT is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Programme-level NBA accreditation is not currently active.
What are the KCET and COMEDK college codes for SKIT Bengaluru?
For Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) KCET counselling, SKIT Bengaluru is listed under college code E112. For COMEDK UGET counselling for All-India and Management seats, the college code is E132. Lateral entry to B.E. second year for diploma holders uses the same institution under the KEA DCET.
What is the 2025-26 KCET annual tuition fee at SKIT Bengaluru?
Under the Karnataka Government 2025-26 uniform fee Order, the KCET-quota annual tuition at SKIT is Rs.1,13,205 across every B.E. branch — CSE, AI&ML, ISE, ECE, VLSI Design and Technology, Mechanical and Civil — for KCET-allotted candidates. University and other miscellaneous fees are included in this uniform figure.
What is the 2026-27 Management-quota fee structure at SKIT by branch?
For 2026-27 Management-quota admissions the annual tuition is tiered by branch: Rs.2,25,000 per year for CSE, AI&ML, AI-MLOps, CSE Data Science, CSE Cyber Security and ISE; Rs.1,75,000 for ECE and EEE; and Rs.1,25,000 for Mechanical and Civil. Hostel and mess charges are billed separately.
What are the latest placement statistics at SKIT Bengaluru?
The 2024-25 Training and Placement Cell at SKIT recorded a highest offer of Rs.12.25 LPA, an average package of approximately Rs.4.50 LPA and a median of about Rs.4.00 LPA, with around 65% of eligible students placed. Key recruiters include Accenture, Wipro, TCS, IBM India, SAP Labs, Amazon, Samsung, Tech Mahindra, Thought Works and the Indian Navy.
Is SKIT Bengaluru ranked in NIRF 2025 or other national rankings?
Candidates should weigh the college on its 25-acre campus, VLSI niche and affordable KCET fee rather than on national ranking position.
Does SKIT Bengaluru offer hostel and transport facilities?
Yes. SKIT operates separate on-campus hostels for boys and girls with in-house mess, 24x7 security, Wi-Fi and common rooms. For day scholars, Chikkabanavara suburban railway station (2 to 3 km), Nagasandra Green Line Namma Metro station and BMTC routes along Hesaraghatta Main Road link the campus to Yeshwanthpur, Majestic, Hebbal and Nelamangala.
What distinctive B.E. specialisations does SKIT Bengaluru offer?
The institute is best known for its dedicated 60-seat VLSI Design and Technology B.E. stream, which is rare among mid-tier VTU private colleges. Its AI&ML branch (120-seat intake) with AI and Data Analytics computing labs and a MongoDB Academia certificate programme provide a strong data-career pathway. CSE and ISE round out the computing stack.
Does SKIT Bengaluru offer M.Tech, MBA or MCA post-graduate programmes?
No. SKIT currently operates as an undergraduate-only B.E. institution. M.Tech, MBA and MCA programmes are not offered from this campus and therefore the Karnataka PGCET route is not applicable. Candidates seeking PG programmes should evaluate other SREIS group institutions or peer VTU colleges.
Which industry MoUs and training partners support SKIT students?
SKIT maintains training and curriculum tie-ups with MongoDB (Academia Partnership certificate for data and backend coursework), IBM India, TCS and Thought Works. An active NSS unit, student-led hackathon culture and the annual Anveshana project exhibition add to the industry-aligned learning ecosystem.
