Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust, Surat (the Gajera Trust) and affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot. It is a Brownfield Public-Private-Partnership college set up under Gujarat Health Policy 2016 through an MOU between the Government of Gujarat and the Gajera Trust dated 24 October 2017: the State provides the General Hospital campus and institutional support, and the Trust built the modern teaching infrastructure, recruited the faculty and supports the PPP operations narrative. The college is named after Smt. Shantabaa Haribhai Gajera, the late mother of the Trust's President Mr. Vasantbhai Haribhai Gajera; the everyday operations are led by Managing Director Dr. Ekta Gajera.
