Pre-clinical and para-clinical teaching runs across 21 departments staffed by 316 faculty (41 Professors, 54 Associate Professors, 120 Assistant Professors, 58 Senior Residents and 40 Tutors per the college's June 2026 faculty list), with anatomy dissection halls, histology, physiology and biochemistry laboratories, simulation/skills space, lecture theatres, seminar halls and an anatomy museum. Clinical training is at the attached 350-bed Neelima Hospitals teaching hospital on the same campus, which also has an 18-bed emergency department and a well-equipped casualty wing. Student amenities include separate boys' and girls' hostels (Wi-Fi, hot meals, AC/non-AC room options), a 25,600 sq ft central cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports (basketball, cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis), 24-hour power and an on-campus ambulance.

Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences, Ghatkesar is the medical college of Anurag University — a Telangana state private university (Telangana Private Universities Act, Act No. 11 of 2018) run by the Gayathri Educational and Cultural Trust (founded 1982). It introduced its School of Medical Sciences in 2023 with a 150-seat MBBS Letter of Permission from the NMC Medical Assessment & Rating Board, and the intake has since grown to 200 (AY 2025-26). 2023). Anurag University is led by Chancellor Dr. B. Desai and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Archana Mantri, with Dr. B. Lakshmi Prasanna serving as Dean of the medical college; the institution lists its own anti-ragging, gender-equality and other statutory committees. The Anurag University rankings and accreditations seen on the university's pages (NAAC/NBA and NIRF rank bands) belong to the parent university's established programmes — not to this 2023 medical college, which has no NIRF Medical rank or medical-college NAAC of its own; nothing of that kind is claimed for the medical college. The first MBBS batch (2023 entry) is still in its pre-final years, so no MBBS examination pass percentage exists yet, and none is asserted. Note carefully: this is the medical college and is distinct from Anurag University's engineering, pharmacy and management schools.

MBBS is PERMITTED under a Letter of Permission, not yet recognised. The NMC Medical Assessment & Rating Board granted permission (F.No. NMC/UG/2023-24/000043, dated 09.03.2023) for the new college under Anurag University with 150 seats for AY 2023-24, u/s 26(1)(a)(b), 28(1)(2) and 61(2) of the NMC Act 2019; the intake was later raised to 200 for AY 2025-26. This is the normal status for a 2023 college — degree recognition is considered when the first batch reaches its final MBBS examination (around 2028). University pages describing it as 'recognised' overstate the position; the NMC's own status is what is cited here.
