AC and larger-occupancy rooms carry a small premium. A refundable caution deposit applies at the time of admission. Does NCET offer scholarships or fee waivers for B.Tech students?
Yes. NCET offers merit-based tuition waivers for top rankers in KCET and COMEDK UGET and specific trust-funded waivers through the Nagarjuna Education Trust for deserving candidates. Karnataka Government post-matric scholarships apply for SC, ST, OBC and minority students as per their annual eligibility rules. AICTE Pragati (for girls) and Saksham (for specially-abled students) central scholarships are also channelled through the institute. B.Tech admission at NCET runs through three channels. For the Karnataka CET (KCET) government quota, appear for KCET 2026, register with KEA and participate in centralised counselling using NCET code E104. For the COMEDK private merit pool, appear for COMEDK UGET 2026, register with the Consortium and fill NCET code E084 in counselling. For the institutional Management / NRI quota, register directly on landing.ncet.co.in, pay the application fee, attend document verification with a token fee, and complete the student interview and final seat confirmation.
What is the minimum eligibility for B.Tech admission at NCET?
Eligibility is the standard AICTE / VTU norm. Candidates must pass class 12 with Physics and Mathematics compulsory, plus Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Electronics as the third science subject, with a minimum 45 percent aggregate in PCM (40 percent for SC, ST and OBC-notified categories from Karnataka). A valid KCET, COMEDK UGET or JEE Main score is required for the respective admission channel. Karnataka-domicile candidates applying under the CET pool must also complete the 7-year study requirement specified by KEA.
Is NCET Bangalore autonomous and which university awards its degree?
Yes. NCET has been an autonomous institution since academic year 2015-16 under autonomy granted by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and the Government of Karnataka.
