Hostel
IISc Bangalore runs a comprehensive on-campus residential system with separate hostels for boys and girls and married-student housing. B.S. programme students are housed across hostels including Manasa, Saraswati, Yamuna, Tunga, Krishna, Ganga, Kaveri (women) and Mahanadi/Kaveri/Tungabhadra (men). Rooms are typically single occupancy in well-maintained heritage and modern buildings.
Scholarships
IISc B.S. students are typically supported by INSPIRE-SHE fellowships (₹80,000 per year) for the full duration of study if they qualify based on KVPY or top JEE Advanced rank. KVPY scholarship holders receive their KVPY stipend through the programme. Additional institutional fellowships include the IISc Director's Research Scholarship and the IISc Centenary Scholarships for top performers. Defence wards qualify for PM Scholarship Scheme. SC/ST and economically backward students receive central government Post-matric scholarships.
Infrastructure
The IISc Bangalore campus extends across approximately 400 acres at Mallathahalli-Yeshwantpur in north-west Bengaluru — designed as a research-park academic environment.
