Infrastructure & facilities

Labs, library, sports, hostels & campus facilities

Garden City University spans about 195 acres across three Bengaluru campuses — the Indiranagar city office, the K.R. Puram (Old Madras Road) main academic campus, and the 178-acre GCU Knowledge Park at Hoskote. The central library holds around 35,062 books (4,550 titles), 140 reader seats and 29 computers, runs OPAC/RFID circulation and subscribes to EBSCO Academic Search Elite and DELNET alongside national consortia such as e-Shodh Sindhu, Shodhganga, NDL and SWAYAM. Specialised labs include the Samsung SEED AI/ML linguistics lab, a Census Resource Lab, a Forensic Laboratory, a Language Laboratory and a Media Laboratory, with video-conferencing-enabled smart classrooms and campus-wide Wi-Fi. Sports facilities cover a futsal synthetic ground, badminton, basketball, football and cricket grounds plus separate gyms. Campus support includes a 24x7 ambulance and doctor-on-call, the GCU Physiocare unit, on-campus banks and ATMs (Canara Bank, Federal Bank), a mall-styled multi-cuisine food court, the Kaffe Gardenia café and a 24x7 help desk. Sustainability measures span rainwater harvesting, solar and wind power, a single-use-plastic ban and dense afforestation at Hoskote.

FAQ

GCU FAQs

Is Garden City University recognised?
Yes. GCU is a Karnataka State Private University established through Act no. 47 of 2013 and is listed in the UGC recognised list of Private Universities in India. It is also an AIU member.
What is GCU's COMEDK code?
E049. Garden City University is an active COMEDK member institution (2024 and 2025).
What is GCU's KEA CET code?
GCU self-declares CET code E288 in its FAQ. However, the external KEA register check returned zero 'Garden City' matches — KEA UGCET counselling does not assign GCU seats. Admission is via direct (no entrance filter) or COMEDK (E049).
Does GCU have a filtering entrance exam?
No. GCU does not run a filtering entrance exam; admission is on programme-specific eligibility plus the GCU online application. CET/JEE/COMEDK scores are accepted but not used as a filtering cut-off.
What is the B.Tech CSE fee at GCU for 2025-26?
₹1,80,000 per installment × 8 installments across 4 years = ₹14,40,000 total. Tuition fee is ₹3,60,000 per annum, paid every January and June.
What is the application fee?
₹2,000 for domestic / NRI applicants; USD 100 for international applicants. Pay via the admissions portal (admissions.gardencity.university).
How much is the admission confirmation deposit?
₹25,000 for domestic students; USD 500 for international students. Paid after the conditional offer of admission is issued.
What hostel options does GCU offer and at what fee?
5 blocks across OMR (K.R. Puram) and Hoskote campuses. Campus A & B (Girls) ₹60,000/yr double; Venus A (Girls) ₹65,000/yr double or ₹1,25,000/yr single; Venus B (Girls) ₹80,000/yr double or ₹1,25,000/yr single; Galaxy A & B (Boys) ₹80,000/yr double or ₹1,25,000/yr single; GCU Knowledge Park ₹1,60,000/yr double or ₹1,80,000/yr single. Single-occupancy deposit ₹25,000.
Can NRI students apply?
Yes. NRIs with Indian passport admit under the same fee schedule as Domestic students. Foreign nationals apply via the International Students Admission route — USD 500 enrollment fee, study visa from Indian High Commission, FRRO Bangalore registration on arrival.
What is the refund policy?
Fees are refundable with a 10% deduction towards administrative charges if the student is unable to take admission. Caution deposit ₹5,000 — ₹3,000 refunded on course completion, ₹2,000 retained for lifetime GCU Alumni Association membership.
