What are the hostel and mess charges at Chanakya University Bangalore?
On-campus residence at the 116-acre Global Campus in Devanahalli is mandatory for first-year B.Tech students. 2024-25 rates list double-occupancy AC hostel at ₹1.75 lakh per year and triple-occupancy at ₹1.37 lakh per year inclusive of mess charges, laundry and utilities, with a one-time ₹20,000 refundable caution deposit payable at the start of the programme. The hostel is gender-segregated, offers Wi-Fi, gym access, 24x7 security and medical-room support, and runs a weekly-rotation vegetarian / non-vegetarian mess menu. Parents may access real-time utilisation and leave status through the university parent portal.
What B.Tech branches are offered at Chanakya University Bangalore?
The School of Engineering offers seven four-year B.Tech branches with an AICTE-sanctioned intake of 600 seats: B.Tech Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (120 seats), B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (120), B.Tech Electronics Engineering with Computer Science (120), B.Tech Electronics Engineering with VLSI Design and Technology (60), B.Tech Biotechnology (60), B.Tech Civil Engineering (60) and B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) (60). All branches follow a flexible four-year curriculum with project-based learning, mandatory industrial internships, a minor-specialisation option, and choice-based electives in the final two semesters.
How are placements and internships managed at Chanakya University Bangalore?
Since the first B.Tech cohort (2022-26) graduates only in May 2026, the university has not yet released a consolidated placement report, and any aggregate highest / median / placement-rate figures circulating on aggregator sites should be treated with caution. The Career Development and Industry Interface Cell is active from Semester IV onward, running mandatory eight-week summer internships, capstone industry projects, mock interviews, LinkedIn profiling workshops and resume clinics. Industry partners include tech majors, deep-tech start-ups in the Devanahalli corridor, biotech firms and manufacturing companies. First post-graduation outcomes will be published on the official website after the inaugural convocation.

The 116-acre Global Campus in Devanahalli sits along the Bengaluru — Devanahalli corridor close to Kempegowda International Airport. Facilities include smart classrooms, specialised labs for AI, VLSI, Biotechnology, Aerospace and Robotics, a multi-storey central library with digital-journal access through DELNET and IEEE, an innovation and entrepreneurship centre, a 400-metre running track, indoor and outdoor sports courts, a yoga pavilion, gender-segregated hostels, a health centre, 24x7 Wi-Fi backbone, a 100 percent back-up power supply and CCTV-monitored campus security.
