Verdict
IIT Bombay is the conventional first choice for any branch — older legacy, central-government IIT brand, stronger international placement reach and significantly cheaper tuition. BITS Pilani is preferred for students who miss JEE Advanced cutoff but score top-tier on BITSAT, or for those drawn to BITS practice-school industry integration.
