The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru is one of India's most historic engineering institutions and the second engineering college ever established in Karnataka. Founded in 1946 under the NIE Society (NIE Managing Committee) by a group of visionary engineers — Sri S. Ramaswamy, Sri D. V. Narasimha Rao and Sri T.
