ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE) was established in 2010 at 13th Km Stone, Bannur Road (Mysore-Kanakapura-Bangalore Road), Mellahalli, Mysore-570028, Karnataka. It is managed by the Academy for Technical and Management Excellence (ATME) Trust, a registered charitable trust founded in 2007 by a group of technocrats led by Founder and Chairman Mr. Arun Kumar L, a Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Mysuru with nearly three decades of infrastructure leadership experience.

ATMECE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and approved by AICTE New Delhi with Extensions of Approval valid through 2026-27. 26, valid until 14 November 2027. NBA has accredited its Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Mechanical and Computer Science Engineering departments. ATMECE is also QS I-Gauge Gold rated, ISO 9001:2015 certified and operates a NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited Civil Engineering Laboratory.

ATMECE offers nine B.E. branches with an aggregate sanctioned intake of approximately 600 seats for AY 2025-26: Civil Engineering (30), Mechanical Engineering (30), Electronics and Communication Engineering (120), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60), Computer Science and Engineering (120), CSE - Data Science (60), CSE - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60), CSE - Computer Science and Design (60) and CSE - Cyber Security (60). A four-year B.Sc. (Honours) programme with 60 seats and a BCA programme are also available under the undergraduate portfolio.

At the postgraduate level, ATMECE offers a VTU-affiliated two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Every engineering department additionally hosts a VTU-recognised research centre guiding full-time and external Ph.D. scholars. Postgraduate admissions to MBA and MCA are routed through the Karnataka PGCET conducted by KEA, with management-quota direct admission also available for eligible graduates meeting VTU-notified eligibility norms.

ATMECE admits B.E. candidates through three channels as per Karnataka norms: 45 percent seats via KEA/KCET for Karnataka-domicile students, 30 percent via COMEDK UGET for the all-India merit pool, and 25 percent under the management/institutional quota. Eligibility requires 10+2 with English and a minimum 45 percent aggregate in Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics or Computer Science (40 percent for reserved categories), plus a valid KCET score or COMEDK UGET rank. MBA and MCA admissions follow the PGCET route.

ATMECE consistently delivers a placement rate of approximately 80 percent across more than 250 visiting companies cumulatively, with highest-package offers in the ₹12-15 LPA band for top students. Recruiters span IT services, core engineering, banking, automotive and emerging-tech firms, supported by 25-plus global industry MoUs that feed internships and consultancy engagements. The dedicated Training and Placement Cell conducts aptitude, technical, soft-skill and mock-interview training from the third semester onward to ensure industry readiness.

ATMECE hosts VTU-recognised research centres across its engineering departments including Physics, Chemistry, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. The institute has attracted approximately ₹4-5 crore in external research funding from DST, KSCST, VTU, AICTE (MODROBS) and SERB. Notable initiatives include the DRAVYA Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM), an active IPR cell with over 11 patents filed in the recent academic cycle, the NABL-accredited Civil Engineering Laboratory and industry MoUs with 25-plus global partners.
