About SRM AP
SRM University AP (SRM Amaravati) was established in 2017 by the SRM Trust under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2016 — the first university commissioned in the Amaravati capital region. It is recognised by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The foundation stone was laid in November 2016 and academic programmes commenced in August 2017. Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar (also known as Dr. T. R. Pachamuthu), founder of the SRM Group, serves as founding Chancellor, with Dr. R. Premkumar as Registrar since December 2021.
