Yes. KLS GIT is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belagavi and enjoys academic autonomy granted jointly by UGC and VTU with effect from 13 October 2015. Autonomy allows GIT to set its own curriculum, examination pattern and academic calendar, while the final B.E., M.Tech, MBA and MCA degrees continue to be awarded by VTU.
