FAQ
Christ University FAQs
Is Christ University the same as Christ College?
Yes — Christ College was founded 1969 by the CMI congregation. UGC granted Autonomy in 2004 and Deemed-to-be-University status in 2008 (notification F. 9-34/2007-U.3(A)). The name was later changed from 'Christ University' to 'CHRIST (Deemed to be University)' per UGC directive. The institution remains the same.
Does Christ University B.Tech use KEA or COMEDK cutoffs?
No. Christ is a Deemed-to-be-University and runs its own selection process: Entrance Test (ET) + Skill Assessment (SA) + Micro Presentation (MP) + Personal Interview (PI). It does NOT participate in KEA UGCET or COMEDK. There is no Christ CET code or COMEDK code.
Is there a Management Quota at Christ for B.Tech?
No. Christ does not publish a separate Management Quota tuition for B.Tech. Per the Christ Disclosures page, capitation / donation is not collected. All B.Tech admissions are via the Selection Process at the published per-state Karnataka / Other Indian States / NRI / FN tuition tiers.
