Step 1 — UGET Score Verification: Within 7 days of result, COMEDK opens a document scrutiny window. Upload scanned copies of: COMEDK UGET admit card, score card, Class 10 and 12 marks cards, photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport), recent photograph and signature. COMEDK verifies your candidature and confirms your rank-zone for option entry.
Step 2 — Mock Allotment: COMEDK runs a mock allotment using preliminary option data. This is informational only — no seat is locked at this stage. Use the mock to recalibrate your option list before final entry.
Step 3 — Option Entry: After mock allotment COMEDK opens the final option entry window of approximately 5 days. You enter your preferred colleges and branches in order of priority. There is no limit on the number of options — fill as many as relevant to your rank zone.
Step 4 — Round 1 Allotment: Round 1 results announce within 5 days of option entry closing. You receive an allotment to a college and branch (or a not-allotted notice). For allotted candidates, COMEDK provides three choices: Choice 1 (accept and freeze), Choice 2 (accept and float to Round 2), Choice 3 (reject and re-enter for Round 2).
Step 5 — Fee Payment and College Reporting: For Choice 1 candidates, pay the first-year tuition fee online via the COMEDK portal (typically 2 lakhs to 4 lakhs depending on college and branch). Generate the admission order and report physically to the allotted college within 7 days with all original documents. The college issues your admission letter.
Step 6 — Round 2 and Mop-Up: For Choice 2 and Choice 3 candidates, Round 2 opens with vacant seats. Option entry, allotment and fee payment follow the same pattern. After Round 2 closes, COMEDK conducts a mop-up round to fill any remaining vacancies.
Step 7 — Direct Quota at College Level: After all COMEDK rounds close, residual seats convert to college-level management quota and direct admission. These are filled by individual colleges according to their internal admission policy. COMEDK candidates who exited central counselling can pursue this route directly with the college.
Round 1 typically fills approximately 65 percent of COMEDK-allocated seats. Round 2 fills another 25 percent. Mop-up closes the rest. Total COMEDK cycle takes approximately 6 weeks from results to final reporting.
