NIT Warangal vs NIT Calicut

NIT Warangal (NITW) and NIT Calicut (NITC) are both established NITs from the original Regional Engineering College (REC) era. NITW traces back to REC Warangal (1959), NITC to REC Calicut (1961). NITW sits on 248 acres in Warangal, Telangana; NITC on a 300-acre campus in Calicut, Kerala. Both admit via JEE Main with similar cutoffs and strong industry recruiter networks.

NIT Warangal is the better choice for Telangana/AP domicile students or those wanting easier Hyderabad IT corridor access for internships. NIT Calicut is the better choice for Kerala domicile students or those preferring coastal Kerala academic culture. Both deliver near-identical engineering quality.
