Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) and RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) are two of the strongest mid-tier private engineering colleges in Bangalore. Both are autonomous VTU-affiliated and admit through KCET, COMEDK and management quota.

DSCE is on a 30-acre campus in Kumaraswamy Layout south Bangalore. RNSIT is on 22 acres at Channasandra. DSCE has older alumni network.
