Overview
About Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women
Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women is an engineering college in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, established in 2008. Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women is autonomous. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Gurajada, Vizianagaram. Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women offers 17 programmes, 9 at undergraduate level and 7 at postgraduate level. These include Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 1335 seats. The official self-declaration states affiliation with JNTU-Kakinada from 2008-09 to 2021-22 and JNTU Gurajada-Vizianagaram from 2022-23; the older institute-profile page still names JNTU Kakinada and is historical. The current JNTU-GV affiliated-college list identifies the college as an affiliated engineering college at Gajuwaka, code NM. The official website has conflicting pincode renderings (530 046 on the self-declaration and APSCHE centre listing; 530 049 on the homepage); 530 046 is retained because it is stated by the current self-declaration and counselling-authority listing. No target-year 2026-27 AICTE EoA course/intake values, AICTE closure/unapproved status, NBA programme validity, 2026-27 seat matrix, or 2026-27 fee figure was established from an opened official source, so those figures are omitted.
