NHCE Management Quota Fees 2026-27

New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE, KEA code E099) fills roughly 30% of each B.E. intake through its management (college entrance) quota, with the remaining seats allotted through KCET (KEA) and KRLMPCA counselling — NHCE's 2026 disclosure lists the split as 30% CET / 40% KRLMPCA, while its 2025 admission-committee minutes give 40% KEA / 30% KRLMPCA; the ~30% management share is consistent in both. The state-approved management tuition is published in NHCE's 2026 Mandatory Disclosure - ₹3,50,000 per year for CSE, AIML and ECE and ₹2,50,000 per year for EEE and Mechanical - while the Year-1 totals counsellors quote for CSE, AIML and ECE include an unofficial seat premium that appears in no official document. Seat position at NHCE

Intake = AICTE-approved sanctioned intake for AY 2026-27 (EoA PDF). The management share is published only as a college-level route split in the 2026 Mandatory Disclosure ('CET: 30% of Total Intake, KRLMPCA: 40% Total Intake', balance ≈30% management, p.18) - a per-branch management seat matrix is not published, so mq_seats is left null rather than derived. Note: NHCE's March-2025 admission-committee minutes state the same ~30% management share but flip the other two routes (40% KEA / 30% KRLMPCA).

How management quota admission works at NHCE

NHCE publishes a dedicated management-quota admission calendar in its Mandatory Disclosure (p.18): for 2025-26, requests for applications closed 9 July, submissions closed 15 July, candidate acceptance ran through late July, and admissions closed in September-October. Expect the 2026-27 management round on a similar clock, broadly alongside the KCET/KRLMPCA season - early enquiry gets better branch choice.

  1. Check branch availability early
  2. Submit the official NHCE application

Apply online via newhorizoncollegeofengineering.in/admissions-form/ or the official Application Form 2026-27 PDF. UG eligibility (per NHCE's B.E./B.Tech admissions page): pass in 2nd PUC/12th with English and a 45% aggregate in Physics + Mathematics with an optional science subject (40% for Karnataka SC/ST/OBC categories); the application form also asks for the entrance test taken and rank, where applicable.

  3. Verify the fee structure in writing

The state-approved management tuition is ₹3,50,000/yr (CSE, AIML, ECE) and ₹2,50,000/yr (EEE, ME) per the 2026 Mandatory Disclosure fee table. Ask for a year-wise payable schedule on letterhead and a receipt commitment for every component before confirming the seat.

  4. Complete document verification

Submit originals + 2 photocopies of the document set at the CollegeAndFees counsellor (list below, per NHCE's official B.E./B.Tech admissions page); originals are deposited at admission.

  5. Pay only through NHCE's official channels

Use the Indian Bank (Easebuzz) or HDFC Bank (Eduqfix) online gateways listed on the NHCE admissions page, or DD/cheque with the official challan. Note the published payment rule: fees for years 2, 3 and 4 are payable in a single instalment per year.

Documents to keep ready
  • 10th / SSLC marks card (original + 2 photocopies)
  • 12th / PUC marks card (original + 2 photocopies)
  • Transfer Certificate (original + 2 photocopies)
  • Migration Certificate (non-Karnataka board students, original + 2 photocopies)
  • Aadhaar number (required field on the application form)
  • 4 passport-size + 4 stamp-size photographs
  • Caste certificate (Karnataka SC/ST candidates, if applicable)
  • Entrance-test rank details / CET number, where applicable (fields on the official application form)

Published tuition vs counsellor-quoted totals — the honest reconciliation

What NHCE officially publishes: the 2026 Mandatory Disclosure fee table (p.11) lists state-approved fees per admission route - KCET ₹1,12,410/yr, KRLMPCA ₹2,81,100/yr, and management quota ₹3,50,000/yr for CSE, AIML and ECE and ₹2,50,000/yr for EEE and Mechanical. NHCE's own published admission-committee minutes (April 2017 meeting, in the compilation the college posted in 2026) record the standing policy of following the 'fee structure as approved by the State Government' for KEA, KRLM and Management Quota seats. These approved amounts are what an official NHCE receipt should show.

Why counsellor-quoted totals differ: for high-demand branches, the Year-1 totals quoted in the admission market - around ₹10 lakh for CSE, ₹9 lakh for AIML and ₹4.5 lakh for ECE in our counsellor survey - exceed the approved tuition. The gap is an unofficial, unreceipted seat premium (commonly called a donation). It appears in no NHCE document, no receipt, and no government fee order, which is exactly why we print those rows as indicative rather than sourced.

What Karnataka law says: collecting capitation fees is prohibited under the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984, and AICTE norms bar institutions from charging beyond the approved fee structure. Any amount paid beyond approved fees without an official receipt has no legal protection - if a seat falls through, that money is very hard to recover.

Our policy is sourced-or-null: every figure on this page either links to a public official document (NHCE disclosures, AICTE, KEA) or is explicitly marked indicative. We never average or invent fee numbers. Before paying anything, confirm the current-year approved fee against NHCE's latest Mandatory Disclosure and insist that every component is receipted into an institutional account.

NHCE management quota — questions parents ask

What is the management quota fee at NHCE for B.E. in 2026-27?

The state-approved management-quota tuition per NHCE's 2026 Mandatory Disclosure (p.11) is ₹3,50,000 per year for CSE, AIML and ECE and ₹2,50,000 per year for EEE and Mechanical - the 2026-27 revision is not yet published, so these latest approved rates apply. Counsellor-reported Year-1 totals are higher for CSE (~₹10 lakh), AIML (~₹9 lakh) and ECE (~₹4.5 lakh) because they include an unofficial seat premium; those figures are indicative, not sourced.

How much more does management quota cost than KCET at NHCE?

On approved tuition alone, about 3x for the top branches: KCET government-quota tuition is ₹1,12,410/yr versus ₹3,50,000/yr management tuition for CSE/AIML/ECE (₹2,50,000/yr for EEE/ME). The KRLMPCA minority-quota route sits in between at ₹2,81,100/yr. All three figures are from the same official fee table in NHCE's 2026 Mandatory Disclosure.

Is donation legal for an NHCE management quota seat? Will I get a receipt?

Capitation fees are prohibited under the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984. NHCE's approved fees are receipted through its official Indian Bank/HDFC payment gateways. Any premium quoted above the approved ₹3,50,000/₹2,50,000 tuition is unofficial and typically unreceipted - that is why we mark those figures indicative. Insist on an official receipt for every rupee; an unreceipted payment has no legal protection.

What is NHCE's refund policy for management quota admissions?

Strict. The official NHCE application form carries a declaration that refund of fees is not allowed under any circumstances, and college/hostel deposits are returned only after course completion - withdrawal forfeits them. Get the refund terms in writing before paying, and weigh seat-blocking payments carefully.

What is the total 4-year cost of an NHCE management quota seat including hostel?

On approved tuition alone: about ₹14 lakh for CSE/AIML/ECE (4 x ₹3,50,000) and ₹10 lakh for EEE/ME (4 x ₹2,50,000). With the counsellor-reported Year-1 premium, the CSE total is around ₹20.5 lakh, AIML ₹19.5 lakh and ECE ₹15 lakh (indicative). NHCE does not publish hostel fees online - budget for hostel and mess on top and confirm the current hostel fee with the Accounts Department at admission.

When do management quota admissions open at NHCE?

NHCE publishes a management-quota calendar in its Mandatory Disclosure: for 2025-26, application requests closed 9 July and submissions 15 July, with acceptance through late July and admissions closing September-October. The window broadly tracks the KCET/KRLMPCA season; with 404 applications for 378 management admits last cycle, popular branches (CSE/AIML) effectively close earlier.

Which branches and how many seats are available under management quota at NHCE?

All five B.E. branches NHCE currently offers: CSE (660 intake), AIML (300), ECE (180), EEE (120) and Mechanical (60) for 2026-27 per the AICTE approval. The management share is about 30% of intake per the college's published route split (its 2026 disclosure lists 30% KCET / 40% KRLMPCA), though a per-branch management seat matrix is not published. There is no NRI quota - AICTE's 2026-27 approval explicitly records no NRI approval - and NHCE's published admission-committee minutes record some management seats being set aside for a sports quota. B.E. Civil is no longer offered.
