Overview
MIT WPU Pune and COEP Pune (College of Engineering Pune Technological University) are both prominent Pune engineering colleges — but very different in nature. COEP is a state-funded autonomous institution dating to 1854 (one of the oldest engineering colleges in India), while MIT WPU is a private deemed-university that emerged in 2017 from the legacy MIT Pune. Choice depends on MHT-CET rank, fee comfort and campus culture preference.
