Overview
About Vijaya College
Vijaya College is an arts, science and commerce college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, established in 1945. It is affiliated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University. Vijaya College holds a NAAC grade of B++ with a CGPA of 2.91, valid until 2027. Its programmes are approved by the UGC and AICTE. Vijaya College offers 11 programmes, 7 at undergraduate level and 2 at postgraduate level. These include B.Sc, B.Com (Regular), B.Com (Business Data Analytics), B.Com (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) and BBA, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 70 seats. Department faculty pages are presented as current college pages but do not provide a consolidated current faculty total, student-faculty ratio or institution-wide Ph.D. count; department counts reflect named profiles where available, and the Computer Science page repeats one faculty name. No formal college MoU list or separately named research centre was published in the reviewed official material; the college does publish a research committee and specific collaborations. The add-on-course list is explicitly for 2021-22, while the research publication counts are for 2023-24 and 2024-25. The current 2026-27 college material identifies the institution as Vijaya College at R.V. Road, Basavanagudi, affiliated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University and accredited by NAAC with B++ grade. The college was formerly Bangalore Intermediate College, renamed Vijaya College in 1946. No UGC autonomous-status listing was located. The campus extends over about 2 acres.
