The SRM Need-based Financial Aid programme additionally supports students with demonstrated economic need.
Which entrance exam is accepted at SRM IST Kattankulathur for B.Tech 2026-27?
SRM IST Kattankulathur accepts only its own entrance — SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) — for B.Tech Merit admissions. SRMJEEE 2026 runs in three phases: 24-29 April, 10-15 June and 4-5 July 2026, and the best of the three scores is carried forward to counselling.
What is the SRMJEEE exam pattern and marking scheme?
SRMJEEE is a 2.5-hour computer-based test with 130 MCQs: Physics (35), Chemistry (35), Mathematics or Biology (40) and English & Aptitude (20). Marking is +1 per correct answer with no negative marking for wrong answers — one of the more lenient Indian engineering entrance schemes. Candidates may attempt all three phases and the best score is used for rank allocation.
What is the NIRF ranking of SRM IST Kattankulathur?
This places SRM IST among the top 15 engineering institutes in India and among the top 5 private-deemed engineering schools nationally.
