SBIT Tiptur was established in 2008 under the Sri Basaveshwara Education Society (SBES), a charitable trust headquartered at Halkurke, Tiptur, in Tumakuru District, Karnataka. The society also runs pre-university, diploma and allied professional institutions in the Tumakuru-Kodagu belt, with Sri H N Halappa as its founder-chairman.
What B.E. branches and sanctioned seats does SBIT Tiptur offer in 2025-26?
For 2025-26 SBIT Tiptur offers five VTU-prescribed B.E. programmes — Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Each branch is sanctioned 60 seats per AICTE norms, giving a total of approximately 300 undergraduate seats excluding lateral entry intake.
