About Silver Oak Institute of Design (Silver Oak University)
Silver Oak Institute of Design is a design college in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is affiliated to Silver Oak University. Silver Oak Institute of Design offers 7 programmes at undergraduate level. These include Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) – Fashion and Textile Design, Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) – Interior and Furniture Design, Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) – Visual Communication Design, Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) – Product Design and Diploma in Design (D Des.) – Fashion Design, among others. Official SOID pages identify the Ahmedabad campus at Silver Oak University, Gota, Ahmedabad, and publish B.Design (4 years, 8 semesters) in Fashion & Textile, Visual Communication, Interior & Furniture, and Product Design, plus D.Design (3 years, 6 semesters). B.Design eligibility is 10+2 with minimum 40%; selection is by creative test, portfolio and personal interview. The official site names Ritesh Singh as Associate Dean/Dean of the Institute of Design, but does not label him Principal or provide a campus-total faculty count. It describes workshops, advanced technical tools, centres of excellence, research centres, purpose-built design studios and a dedicated art and design library, but gives no exact studio, laboratory or library-volume counts. No named industry or craft-cluster partnership, attendance rule, medium of instruction, research metrics or 2026-27-specific disclosure was located. Silver Oak University identifies itself as a Gujarat state private university and UGC-recognised private university on its official university site; those university-level claims are not attributed as separate design-institute accreditation. SOID is officially described as a constituent institute under Silver Oak University and is listed among the university's colleges and institutes. The institute's current pages describe B.Design and D.Design programmes, but no 2026-27-specific prospectus, regulator seat matrix, institute code, phone number or email was located. The UGC source confirms Silver Oak University as a Gujarat private university; SOID is not separately listed there.
