PIU's official IDP states that it was notified as a body corporate by Gazette Notification dated 6 May 2016 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009. The official contact page uses pincode 396193, while the UGC defaulter entry uses 396195; both are preserved rather than silently reconciled.
