PDEU Gandhinagar — Fees, Placements & Admission 2026

Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), formerly Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), was established in 2007 through the PDPU Act, 2007 passed by the Gujarat State Legislature, and is a Private State University under the Government of Gujarat in association with ONGC, GSPC and GAIL. It was renamed from PDPU to PDEU in 2021.

PDEU is located at Knowledge Corridor, Raisan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat 382426, about 10 km from Ahmedabad. The fully residential campus is spread across approximately 100 acres.

Tech programmes. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

PDEU offers B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CSE, IT, ECE, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering through the School of Energy Technology and School of Technology.

B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Main score combined with GUJCET for Gujarat state-quota seats and Class XII PCM merit. Candidates apply directly to PDEU through the institute admission portal with their JEE Main, GUJCET and Class XII scores.

B.Tech tuition fee at PDEU is approximately Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh per year for most programmes, with additional hostel, mess and other charges as applicable. Petroleum and energy specialisations may have slightly higher fees.

Placements at PDEU are strong with the highest package reaching approximately Rs 43 LPA, the average package around Rs 8.5 LPA, and a placement rate of approximately 88% across recent batches.

Major recruiters at PDEU include energy majors (ONGC, GSPC, GAIL, Reliance, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Cairn India, IOCL), engineering and IT services (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture) and global technology firms (Microsoft, Amazon).
