Overview
About Nimra College of Engineering and Technology (NCET)
Nimra College of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, established in 1997. Nimra College of Engineering and Technology is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. Its programmes are approved by AICTE. Nimra College of Engineering and Technology offers 8 programmes, 7 at undergraduate level and 1 at postgraduate level. These include Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), Computer Science & Engineering (Data Sciences), Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 288 seats. Official college pages identify NCET as a self-financed, UGC-autonomous engineering institution affiliated with JNTUK and approved by AICTE. The official principal message names Dr. Akbar Khan as principal and states 95 faculty members, including 14 PhD holders, and 34 laboratories. The pages reviewed prominently publish 2025-26 academic-calendar material, not a complete 2026-27 academic profile. Therefore no programme-level AICTE approval figure or status is asserted here. The official college page reports 660 UG and 300 PG annual intake, but this is a college-reported aggregate and is not used as regulator-sanctioned intake. The mandatory-disclosure page describes the institution as UGC-autonomous; no autonomy order or validity was retrieved. Current official address uses N.T.R. District; older pages may use Krishna District. The college fee page reports B.Tech CAT A/CAT B INR 43,000 and M.Tech INR 57,000, but no target-year state fee-committee order was retrieved, so those figures are omitted. NBA, NAAC, NIRF, AICTE closed/unapproved lists, current JNTUK affiliated-college roster, APSCHE 2026-27 seat matrix and APHERMC fee order were not evidenced by the retrieved official pages.
