About Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER, SOA)

Institute of Technical Education and Research is an engineering college in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, established in 1996. It is affiliated to Siksha 'O' Anusandhan. Institute of Technical Education and Research offers 2 programmes at undergraduate level. They are Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech. (Lateral Entry). ITER is a constituent engineering unit of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan, a deemed-to-be university; its official ITER page lists B.Tech and M.Tech engineering programmes. The current governance page identifies Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sahoo as Dean, ITER; no principal designation or qualification was published in the reviewed official source. No college-specific dated faculty total, laboratory count, attendance percentage, or medium of instruction was verified. The Tech Mahindra MoU was signed July 10, 2026 and establishes a CoE laboratory at ITER. Target-year 2026-27 course-wise approval/intake figures were not exposed in the reviewed official pages. Identity verified: the official ITER page explicitly states that Institute of Technical Education and Research operates as an engineering unit under Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA). SOA is a UGC-listed deemed-to-be university (status dated 17 July 2007); ITER is its engineering unit/faculty. The official 2026 admissions pages use SOA/Siksha O Anusandhan as the admissions entity and list the ITER campus address. AICTE EoA material located on SOA's official repository was available through 2025-26; no official 2026-27 EoA was verified in the opened material, and no intake or AICTE application/Permanent ID is asserted. OJEE's 2026 seat-matrix page was identified, but no ITER engineering seat row was verified; SOA's own 2026 admissions pages state admission through JEE Main. No unsupported fee, intake, NBA, NAAC or NIRF value is carried.
