About HMR Degree College

H M R Degree College is an arts, science and commerce college in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is affiliated to Bangalore University. H M R Degree College offers 2 programmes at undergraduate level. They are Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 30 seats. The official HMR Degree College website advertises 2026–27 admissions and states that the college is affiliated with Bangalore University. The 2026–27 AICTE mandatory disclosure is specifically framed around BCA, listing 30 seats, 10 course-handling faculty members, and a 1:4 permanent-faculty student ratio; the college homepage separately advertises both B.Com and BCA. Department counts are therefore based on the named BCA faculty list, while no institution-wide faculty total, department heads, PhD count, or faculty directory is published. The official site is presented as current for Admission 2026-27 and consistently names the institution H M R Degree College. Its contact page gives H M R Layout, Jnanajyothinagar, 80 Feet Main Road, Bangalore 560056, while the footer gives Kadamba Layout, Mallathalli, Bangalore 560056; this address discrepancy should be verified. No official campus or name change was confirmed. The site does not publish a NAAC result, UGC autonomous status, establishment year, library-volume count, hostel capacity, or NIRF entry. The campus extends over about 12 acres.
