About Gyanmanjari Innovative University
Gyanmanjari Innovative University is an university in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, established in 2023. Gyanmanjari Innovative University is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Gyanmanjari Innovative University. Gyanmanjari Innovative University offers 15 programmes, 2 at undergraduate level and 7 at postgraduate level. These include Institute of Engineering & Technology: 13 programmes (UG), Institute of Pharmacy: 1 programme (UG), Institute of Pharmacy: 2 programmes (PG), Institute of Science: 13 programmes (PG) and Institute of Commerce: 4 programmes (PG), among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 21 seats. Current official website materials identify GMIU as a Gujarat state-private university established in 2023 under Gujarat Act No. 7 of 2023 and included by UGC under Section 2(f). The 2026-27 official circular page shows semester-based examinations. The 2024-25 Institutional Development Plan reports 220 teaching staff, but does not provide rank-wise or PhD-wise totals. The official profile describes Dr. H. M. Nimbark as Provost and CEO; the public disclosure identifies him as Vice-Chancellor, while the mandatory disclosure identifies him as Principal. No university-owned teaching hospital or official bed strength was found. Some MoU documents name the former/related Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology as first party; only rows explicitly naming GMIU were included. The university was established as a Gujarat state private university under Gujarat Act No. 7 of 2023, effective 20 April 2023, with notification dated 21 April 2023. The university's Section 2(f) document states that inclusion in the UGC list by itself does not authorize admissions until required infrastructure and staffing are created; it also states that affiliated colleges are not permitted. The university website separately says 'Established in 2015'; this conflicts with the university's legal establishment date and is treated as referring to the predecessor/institutional history, not the university's legal creation. Admission 2026-27 is advertised on the official admission site. Official self-disclosure lists UGC-recognized ODL/online programmes as NA.
