Overview
About Chandigarh Group of College Jhanjeri
Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri is an engineering college in Mohali, Punjab, established in 2012. Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri is autonomous. It is affiliated to I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri offers 16 programmes, 14 at undergraduate level and 1 at postgraduate level. These include B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), B.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science), B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) and B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering), among others. Official sources identify the institution as Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri (CEC Jhanjeri), an autonomous college in Mohali. UGC autonomy is stated for 2024-25 through 2033-34, with affiliation to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The official faculty directory states over 100 regular and 23 guest faculty, but does not provide a sufficiently structured exact total by rank for the requested faculty schema. The research page reports 2,000+ patents, 50 research centres, 75+ projects and an annual research budget of ₹15 crore; these are institutional self-reported figures and are not converted into exact patent or project counts. No official page reviewed stated the minimum student attendance, medium of instruction, or named principal. The college received UGC autonomous status for 2024-25 through 2033-34 while remaining affiliated to IKGPTU. The cited IKGPTU affiliated-institutes page is not evidence of a 2025 affiliation year; its course information is dated/identified as older, and the university admissions page says its course data is based on 2024-25 affiliation orders. The official university page also contains a separate Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran entry; it is a different campus/unit and is not merged here. No 2026-27 AICTE EOA, closed-list, unapproved-list, NBA list entry, state fee order, or 2026-27 seat matrix was verified in the retrieved official material.
