Overview
About BITS Institute of Physiotherapy
BITS Institute of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in Vadodara, Gujarat. It is affiliated to Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra. BITS Institute of Physiotherapy offers 2 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 3 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) and Masters in Physiotherapy (M.P.T.). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 75 seats. Official college homepage states that BITS Institute of Physiotherapy offers B.P.T. (started 2014-15; 4.5 years including six-month compulsory rotatory internship; granted intake stated as 75) and M.P.T. (started 2019-20; two years) in Musculoskeletal and Sports, Neurological and Psychosomatic Disorders, and Cardiovascular and Respiratory Disorders. It states Government of Gujarat approval and affiliation to Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra, and mentions IAP and Gujarat State Council of Physiotherapist recognition. The homepage mentions only an overseas clinical visit/orientation at Bellefleur Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre, Ottawa, not a parent or attached hospital. The homepage states affiliation to Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra, but the current SGGU affiliated-college directory opened for this review did not contain a BITS entry; affiliation status and college code are therefore left unresolved rather than silently reconciled. The official Gujarat 2026-27 admissions portal was opened; its accessible material states that 2026-27 admission documentation requires government approval, state council seat approval and unconditional university affiliation, but no accessible 2026-27 BITS-specific entry, code or seat count was found. The college homepage states BPT intake capacity of 75 and MPT commencement in 2019-20, but those figures were not independently confirmed in a current-year regulator or admissions list and are omitted. A linked brochure URL did not yield usable institutional evidence, so no facts are taken from it.
