About Akar College of Physiotherapy
Akar College of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Akar College of Physiotherapy is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Gujarat University. Akar College of Physiotherapy offers 1 programme at undergraduate level. The programme offered is Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). The official college site describes BPT as 4.5 years: four academic years plus six months of compulsory internship; a separate group page describes it as five years, so the duration should be treated as a source inconsistency. The college site names OPD, Physiology, Anatomy, Exercise and Electrotherapy facilities, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a gymkhana. No official faculty total, dated faculty breakdown, attendance threshold, medium of instruction, research metrics or named clinical/industry tie-up was published in the reviewed official pages. The official group management page names Dr Hardik Parab as Principal, Akar College of Physiotherapy. The input uses “Aakar”; the college and group websites predominantly use “Akar,” while the college site also contains “Aakar” spelling. The college website states affiliation with Gujarat University and approval/recognition by the Government of Gujarat and Gujarat State Council of Physiotherapy. The group website identifies Akash Education Trust as the managing trust. BPT is the specifically named programme. The official Gujarat admissions portal states that 2026-27 BPT participation requires government permission/NOC, a 2026-27 State Council for Allied and Healthcare Professions seat-approval letter, fee-regulatory documentation, and unconditional university affiliation; this is a general cycle requirement, not proof that this exact college appears in the seat list.
