Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

Privately-funded scholarship by Reliance Foundation for first-year UG students (any discipline including engineering). Up to Rs. 2 lakh total over the degree.

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded annually to ~5,000 meritorious first-year undergraduate students across India, including engineering students at AICTE/UGC-approved institutions. The scholarship can pay up to Rs. 2 lakh in total over the duration of the undergraduate degree (typically Rs. 50,000 per year for 4-year engineering programmes).

Eligibility is broad — open to first-year UG students enrolled in any recognised institution across India, with priority weightage given to merit (Class 12 marks), entrance exam rank where applicable, family income, and gender (girl candidates favoured). The scholarship is non-renewable in the strict sense — it is allocated once at the start and disbursed in installments tied to academic progress.

Application is online through the Reliance Foundation Scholarship portal. Typical application window opens in October and closes by December each admission cycle. Required: institute admission proof, Class 12 marksheet, entrance rank scorecard (where applicable), family income proof, Aadhaar, bank account.
