The Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students is the parallel scheme to the SC Post-Matric, administered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. It funds post-matriculation studies (Class 11 onwards including UG, PG, and professional courses like engineering) for ST students.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees as per AICTE/UGC ceilings (typically up to the actual fees charged by government and government-aided institutions, plus a per-course ceiling for private institutes), plus monthly maintenance allowance of Rs. 380 to Rs. 1,200 depending on course group and hosteler/day-scholar status.
Eligibility: valid ST caste certificate, family income up to Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum, enrolled in a recognized post-matriculation course, Indian citizen. Applications are routed through the state-specific portal (linked from NSP) for processing within the home state, with funds disbursed directly to the bank account.
