The OP Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarship (OPJEMS) is a flagship foundation scholarship instituted by the OP Jindal Group, awarded annually to outstanding students at participating engineering and management institutes across India. The participating engineering colleges include all IITs, BITS Pilani, several NITs, and a curated list of premier engineering schools.
The scholarship pays Rs. 1.8 lakh per year to undergraduate engineering awardees and approximately Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh to MBA/post-graduate awardees. Selection involves a multi-stage process — institute-level nomination, written aptitude, and a final interview — with criteria covering academic merit, leadership, communication, and extracurricular excellence. Approximately 100 scholarships are awarded each year across participating institutes.
OPJEMS imposes no employment commitment with the Jindal Group; awardees retain full freedom to pursue their careers post-graduation. Application is institute-driven — colleges nominate candidates each year (typically in the second/third year for UG and first year for MBA). The annual window typically runs from August to November.
