The L&T Build India Scholarship (BIS) is a Larsen & Toubro CSR-flagship programme that funds post-graduate studies in Construction Technology and Project Management at participating IITs (currently IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, and IIT Roorkee). It is targeted at outstanding B.Tech graduates who want to specialise in the construction and infrastructure engineering domain.
The scholarship covers the full M.Tech tuition at the IIT, a generous monthly stipend, and a one-year structured internship at L&T post-graduation. Estimated total support exceeds Rs. 2 lakh per year for the 2-year M.Tech, though students do commit to working with L&T for a defined period after graduation in exchange.
Eligibility: B.Tech graduates (typically Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) with minimum 60% aggregate, GATE-qualified for M.Tech admission, and willing to commit to the L&T post-degree employment terms. Selection involves GATE-rank-based shortlisting, an L&T technical interview, and an HR round. Applications open after GATE results each year.
